Robo call stating the IRS was going to file a lawsuit against me.  I didn't take the call, but they left a voice mail message which surprised me.  On the message the same number was given as the call origination number.

We received a call from this number stating they were going to throw me "behind the bars tomorrow" for tax fraud unless I gave them $4000 today. They demanded I go to Walmart to wire the money and stay on the phone with them the whole time. When I tried to speak with my wife about it, they stated I couldn't talk to anyone about it. They had thick accents and were very hard to understand. I asked them to give me my date of birth or social for verification and they declined. I hung up and they called back 5 times from an unknown number. My wife answered and asked them to say her name or birthdate since we filed jointly. They started yelling that they couldn't do that over the phone. She asked for a name to give her lawyer and they hung up on us.

They just called me and said the same thing along with I have a arrest warrant out on me. I asked them to give me my ss number and then she acted like she couldn't hear me. Prior to this I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that one was not available. I did hear lots of chatter in the background. My husband is on the phone with the irs now.

They called and I got an automated message saying that I was being sued by the IRS and to call the number for details. I called and they asked for my name and then for my phone number. I gave them the information and was told I was being put on hold so they could process the information. So I get put on "hold" and the line disconnects. Tried calling them back and it rings once before going to the busy tone. The number was 2062012258. Should I be worried about this? Has anyone noticed like identity theft or anything else because I'm part of a low income family and I seriously can't afford for something like that to happen.

Call irs and let them know. They need to know and the more info they have better. She says to call the 18003664484 that's the attorney general.

No, please call the 1800 number above. This is a scam. Please, do NOT give them any of your info.

I got the same call a message was left saying for me to call this number as the IRS is filing a law suit on me.   I callled the number and he basically told me if I dont pay or make a promise to pay I would be arrested in the morning by the local sherriff.    He then said he would talk to his officer and call me back in a hour.

Please don't give them any information. If you do talk them again let them know you are contacting the Attorney General. The phone number is 1 800 366 4484.
