Here is my corrospondance with this scammer...haven't heard anything back yet.

Thank you for the prompt response.  With any customer who is not in our immediate trade area, we need to verify credit card information to assure that no fraud is occurring. I am sure you fully understand the severity and importance of conducting business in a professional manner.  We will need the type of credit card, the name that is stamped into the credit card with expiration date, and the code that is on the back of the card.  I would like you to scan both the front and the back of the credit card just to make sure that the deal is on the up and up.  I am sure you understand, simply because we haven’t done business before.  I am sure on further dealings, we won’t need to be quite as cautious.  I would also like to see on  your company letterhead, who your corporate officers are, and how long you have been in business.

I received a call from Jeff Larry, Same motive as the others- wanting to purchase farm equipment- also left frankilin cook as shipping contact and the same bogus romania address as listed above- THANKS FOR THE TIP- this clown could have cost me money!  Date of contact was 11/28/12

Total Scam!!!!!
He wanted me to put through credit card payment for a machine he knew nothing about then wanted me to send the freight payment to a freight company. I played him for hours as its a little slow here. I talked to the credit card company about it and they gave me this advice which I did:
Keep taking credit card numbers from him and telling him they are not working. Do this again and again until he gets annoyed and moves on. Then give those numbers to the credit card company like I did. If we all get 3 numbers form this scumbag he will have no numbers left to use. I also cost him lots of money in phone calls.

This guy called us today, it sounded fishy so I looked the company up and found this page (thank you!!!). I took the advice of one you and kept it going with him so I could get a credit card number from him. He ended up giving me 2 numbers so he could split the machinery onto 2 cards (another sign, he was ready to drop $20k after a 5 min phone call for a machine he barely knew anything about). I called the credit card companies to report both (which fyi, Capital One wouldn't let me speak to the fraud department since it wasnt "my" card and he couldn't do anything for me but not to worry they have fraud protection on their cards. Luckily I called back and the second lady was very grateful).

If you email their "shipping" company you will notice that they are not real emails for this emshippers company they end in hotmail or yahoo and mine was hushmail, I believe they are the ones that respond to the email they provide you, but I played along to get the card numbers from them. He said his name was John Moore and used the email moorej508@yahoo.com, also called from 917-503-5563 and 817-400-1804. They want you to pay the shipping company directly through wire transfer and they pay you will a credit card.

For me, any large quantity such as this through a generic email account (Hotmail, gmail, yahoo) raises red flags for me, so I did a search on RichardRich0505@hotmail.com and found out that Roberto (entry above) was almost scammed as well from the same email. So to try and get some more information on this scammer, I asked for his company name, address, and phone number. Notice how he did not provide a phone number, but provided me this bogus company name and address which is below.

Ironically, he sends me an email contact RichardRich0505@yahoo.com yet sends me the email from his RichardRich0505@hotmail.com account. Not very bright, huh?

Watch out, friends, as this is a major scammer and I was smart to figure this out.  

A rule of thumb for all to heed: When someone wants LARGE quantity of your stock coming from a generic email account: 9 times out of 10 it is a scam.  There are a lot of dastardly jerks in the world who are nothing more than common thieves. Be diligent! Always demand more information and if you get ANY resistance, you are being scammed. And, while I did not get any resistance, I have Roberto to thank for posting up a warning to us all to be wary of this thief.

Thank you very, very much, Roberto, for reporting the scammer RichardRich0505@hotmail.com as this saved me time, money, aggravation, and being scammed. That very same person tried to scam my company that you can read about below.

I am taking a courageous stand, Roberto, just like you to notify people of this crook.

Thank you posting this. I got the same thing. I knew it was a scam by the way the email was written. You can tell it was written in another language and then converted to English. It didn't sound like a typical email at all.

Tried getting a quote for $7k worth of merchandise from me. The previous poster was dead on when a generic email requests a large quantity order usually it's BS. I put his address into google maps and it comes up without a business name or contact info. I received the exact same response as well.
