This is your typical Scammer,i had a car on Craigslist ,they want you to send them the over amount to Western Union..I usally play along with them for awhile..Then tell them to F..them self...

They tried to scam me on craigslist too!!!! The whole over amount money gram thing!!!

I received the check via UPS and marched it strait to Bank of America where they informaed me this was a SCAM. Today, I received this e-mail from Jonathan Laurore. Please give me your thoughts.

I was almost scammed by this some group. But the NAME has now been changed. I found this page by Googleing the shippers name/location and came across this.... thank god I found you!!!! Here are the emails:

THE PROBLEM WITH THIS ONE IS I NEVER RECEIVED THE CHECK. IT WAS SENT TO THE WRONG ADDRESS IN MAINE.... I'M IN NJ. I TRACKED IT ON DHL & IT WAS DELIVERED IN MAINE & LEFT AT SOMEONES FRONT DOOR.... NO ONE SIGNED FOR IT.

I just recieved the same email in response to an ad I had posted on Craigslist.  This is the first internet scam solicitaion I have ever recieved in the 15 years I have been using the internet.  I have always been amazed at the stupidity of these scam artists.  I beg of you to use commom sense at all times when dealing over the internet.  Pay close attention to any solicitation that comes from an individual with such a poor grasp of the English Language.  The best example is our Hero's spelling of the great American favorite, the mall as "moll".  Good luck and look out!  Also:  new name "Ralph Wilde" with same address and Phone #
