I recieved this from a craigslist ad.  glad you told me it was a scam

Igot all information i needed about it, since you can assure me the goodness of it, i will be purchasing it with additional $100 of your asking price, that means i will be making the payment today. I wish i could visit  you to take a look at it but due to the nature of my health, i will not be able to come over there to look at it or offer you cash in person, As there are too many scams on internet as regards buying and selling with large bogus account makes me to feel unsafe about making the payment through any means than cashier check, i will make sure that  your payment is made today through cashier check, i won't be able to monitor this auction but there is always an outstanding shipper that charges low prices who will handle the shipment, and i will make sure that  your check is been isuued immediately by the company's accountant. The check  will get to you a day after the issue of the check, and when you recived the check, you can then get the check cashed at your Bank. The payment will be in excess so far the rest fund will be for the shipment which has to be sent to the shipper as soon as the check cleared to yur account, for the pick up at your residence, i will wait for your bank to clear the check so  that the shippers can get there with the papers and also documents that will stand for the agreement of this transaction. All the information needed from you for the check procedure is as follows :

I got the same email after I had posted an ad for my musical instrument.  Good thing I googled the guy's name and found this.  Hopefully everyone else learned their lesson through me.  I was very naive and actually sent this guy my information for the bogus check he will never send.  WHATEVER.  

I'm going to report it on internet crime complaint now.  ic3.gov

this guy just tried to scam me I almost fell for it.  He wrote me and said the he sent the check for way more than I wanted so I checked in on this guy and found this posting and some other stuff.  Now, does anyone know what the threat level is on this guy?  I don't want any surprizes considering he has my info.

I just received the exact same email for a stationary bike I am selling. The only thing that differed was the phone number. He is now using 206-376-1576. Everything else is the same. When I received the first email I responded that it was available for sale and to call me. I gave him my cell number but nothing else. He obviously has my email address because I replied. Once I saw the second one from him, I decided to google his name and came up with this website.  Thanks everyone for alerting this to me.

Please there needs more clarification in you letter postings.   To be fair to me, put his picture up or something???.  It’s too easy for me to be mistaken by another of the same name, My name is not as common as Smith or Jones. Still there are several Ralph Hinksons in the USA and Europe.

Please tell me, How can I remedy this problem?. I just lost the sweetest girl I’ve ever met Jackie Flores ...bummer...... she googled my name and came up with this crap about this guy in Reston VA.  Needless to say..Now that I know about this problem I have to make sure this cannot happen again.....I may have lost jobs because someone googled my name and this comes up .....not good for me . ...please help me resolve this so that my future X’s and places of my future employ will not be making the same foolish mistake.

I just got an email today (2-18-09) from the one and only Collins at sleek crane reston va...I am trying to sell antiques furniture and she contacted me and of course offered to give me xtra to pay for the shipping.I wrote back and said that I had a similar experience just yesterday and when I questioned that man he remarkably never responded back..HMMMMM i learned very quick about scammers on craigslist..The sad part was when the first scammer contacted me yesterday I was actually excited to have sold my stuff...until  I realized what was going on....

Here he is again.....I'm so glad I googled this phone number.

He's still at it under the name of Michael Ellis.  I am SO GLAD I googled his phone # and got all this info,or i would have fallen for it. I thought I was covering my backside, but he wrote word for word, which gave him away. Last I wroteto him was that I did in fact goggle him and left it at that. THANKS!!!!
