I have no idea who, or what, this caller is claiming to be.  They have called several times each day leaving no message, and when I answer, they hang up.  Today I decided to call them back.  A foreign accented female answered, and I said "I'm calling to request that you stop calling this number."  She immediately hung up.  I called again and asked her why she hung up without even acknowledging my request, and she hung up again.   I called back several more times and got no answer.  Finally a man answered and I made the same request-- to stop calling my number.  He started shouting at me saying "Listen to me, listen to me."  In response I said "no, you listen to me-- I'm the person paying for the phone you are abusing."  There was a several second pause and then he said very calmly: "F*** your m*****."   Other's have commented on this website that this numbe represents a scam.  While that may be true, it's not just a scam; it's a bunch a ruthless, immoral, nasty people serving no legitimate business or social function.  And if government agencies like the FCC really functioned they way they should, they would shut it down permanently.

How do I get them to stop calling? The first time they called I said no thanks and the lady called me stupid and said I have an ugly smile when I laughed. 3 days later she called again, I said take my number off your list and stop calling. She just replied it would be fantastic if I keep calling then hung up. I swear these people are getting on my last nerve!

You can't stop them.  They usually call from outside the US and put a fake number in caller ID.
You can make them stop ringing by using a call blocker.

Either buy a phone system capable of blocking numbers or invest in a call blocking machine.  You will be happy with either purchase!

I completely agree with you. If I could track these people down, I would shut them down permanently myself. It's so frustrating that they do the same thing to everyone that they did to me.

Have received NUMEROUS calls from these people from varying numbers. This is the only number that allowed me to call them back. The strange thing is that they are asking for a "Phillip B****y" (redacted for privacy). About 6 years ago, I had a roommate with the same name. Today was the final straw for me-they called near the end of a class I was teaching and I answered...simply for the purpose of showing my students how to deal with harassment. I remained calm and professional throughout the call-but can't say the same for "Sally" that was on the other end of the conversation. I asked Sally for the name of the CEO of the Grant Department and also for the address so I could send a Cease and Desist letter to said CEO. "Sally" said she was the CEO and that I could go f*** myself. I asked her if she kissed her mother with that mouth, and she replied "fu** you stupid f***" and hung up.

I called the number after I was at home and alone. A male answered the call and said the usual speech "free money" blah blah blah. I asked for an address where I could write for more information about the grant, that I was so appreciative of receiving the money I wanted to thank the person for selecting me. The guy said that I didn't need to thank anyone, that I had been randomly selected from my city and state. When I asked which city, because I live in 3 different states at any given time of the year, he said "pick one, you idiot".

Then my Ghetto came out. I went around and around with this person to the point he was pretending to cry. He then asked if my wife was home, then my daughter, sister and mother. I told him they were all dead, it's just me here, all alone. By this point I was having fun and tried asking for the address again-and he said "go f*** yourself" again. I said I want to F him for calling and harassing me day in and day out. I asked if the call was being recorded (it was) and said do not call this number again or I will find you, I will sue you, and then I will use the money that I received from the law suit to bail him out of jail and sue him again just so he knows how it feels to be harassed. Then I ended the call and have since blocked the number.

Don't fall for it, hang up on them, or if you get an address, or a real name; post it here so we can all go after these worthless pieces of scum.

Hi I'm receiving 9,700 dollars if I claim it by western union but first I must pay a 200 dollar iTunes card in order to receive that money

It is illegal to have to pay for a grant,  loen, or prize.   Why would a real company want an iTunes card???

Grant money of $9,700.  OK cool and you said it's free? And you said I don't have to pay it back? And you said it's all refundable? OK why do I have to buy iTunes card to identify that it's me who is going to receive this grant?   The US bank of America is a sponsor and  Apple Inc.  our sponsors of this great that's why I must get an iTunes card to take to Western Union to identify that is me that's going to get this grant?
This was basically my conversation with the  main supervisor who is supposedly going to stay on the phone with me after I get the iTunes card and take it to Western Union and he'll stay on the phone all the way until I get the money in hand with the refund of the money that I used to buy the Apple iTunes card.
He never asked me for a bank account he never asked me for Social Security number he never asked me for anything specific besides my name .  I asked him what is the name of this grant again who is the one that is issuing this grant and he said it's a personal Grant benefit for you financially and to better your life.
The best thing to do is a call Western Union U.S. Bank or Apple and get real information about this  "personal Grant"  this would be really cool if this was real  and it would suck if it was a scam.  Has anyone actually tried doing the process of trying to get the money or they just hung up the phone and not tried it at all?
i'll tell you what I'll go I had and follow up with this procedure in a bind the iTunes card of $250 and I'll take it to the Western Union bank and ask them if I can get my money of $9700.  If it works and I do get $9700 in hand with the refund of the iTunes card In cash and I'll come right back here and let you guys know that is not a scam and it is real and [***] is going down but if it's not and I buy the iTunes card and I go to the Western Union bank and they say they have no idea what I'm talking about why am I showing them in iTunes card then I'll know it's fake.  Either way I'm a get iTunes card regardless so I'm just gonna use iTunes card for my own benefit and buy my own [***] so I'm going to give this a try and let you all know what's up.
And if anyone wanted to know why am going to do it its because why not I mean it's an adventure and maybe a scam and it will suck in the end. But I don't give them any more information besides my name I I know how to protect myself on my own information and I know what is the questions and how to answer them so just like they know how to say that stuff to you and to me I know the right things to say back so I hope everything works out in the end and we all live the rest of Our day in peace👌🏻

I got the same thing as well. So I sit through the call and received my western union number and the phone number to call once i'm ready to pick up the money. They didn't ask for any real identification to verify if they were talking to the real person... seem crazy..but I'm curious to see how it turned out for the guy who went and actually purchased the itune card and went on to western union.
