Never allow anyone  Remote Access unless you know them to be reputable and you contacted them first! Scammers can lock you out and hold your computer ransom with Syskey (Microsoft SAM Lock Tool).

Help spread the word and prevent someone from becoming a victim.

Fact:

• ANYONE who calls or emails you and says your computer called/contacted them is a SCAMMER.
• ANYONE who calls or emails you and says your online server called/contacted them is a SCAMMER.
• Windows Operating System licenses do not expire.
• ANYONE who calls or emails you with a message about your computer having illegal activity, is a SCAMMER.
• Apple will never, ever call you about alleged suspicious iCloud activity.
• ANY Tech Support Warning pop-ups you get while accessing the internet asking you to call a number or visit a website, is from a SCAMMER.
• Web Browsers DO NOT have the ability to determine and warn you your computer has an error. They can only warn you about a potential malicious website. A Browser is software that allows you to surf the Internet, not diagnose a computer or phone.
• ANY Tech Support company that insists you need their services because of some error, outdated software or tries to convince you that you need to allow them remote access is a SCAMMER.
• Nobody could possibly know if your computer or devices have an issue unless you tell them or gave them access.
• Tech Support companies DO NOT call or email to give out refunds because they are "going out of business", or to "cancel a subscription".  Companies DO NOT give refunds unless they have to.
• Companies DO NOT call to inform you that your subscription will be charged if you don't call back, only SCAMMERS do that. If you have a subscription with someone, they automatically charge you until you cancel it and they don't give a refund.
• Only a Scammer would want Remote Access to give a Refund.
• 3rd party Tech services DO NOT include Email account repairing or password resetting, since they can not access the email server unless it belongs to them.

Never trust a caller who wants to "help your computer" for any reason (unless you contacted them first), as they are only going to scam you. If you need Tech Support, you should contact a reputable local service.

I am receiving this call at least every hour during the day.  I continually hang up but this doesn't deter the calls.

This number fills my answering machine over and over. I cant understand the name of the company just the phone number and it says I have a subscription with 2 years left and the company has gone out of business and they want to refund my subscription for $299.

called five times today, same scam (we owe you a refund). Why can't police do something?

I get calls from this number with the subscription refund message almost every day.  Today There were 13 messages on my answering machine from them.

Exactly as stated. Kate caller for Microsoft. Speech on refund of money due to co. Closure.
Received calls daily from 7:00 AM - 9:00 PM.    Sometimes hourly. Message left on answer machine. This has gone on for over 6 weeks. 206-415-2661

Computer refund due us from Microsoft company going out of business. Recorded message from Kate left Several times each day.

Same as everybody on this thread.  I got called 15 times over and over.

Over 10 calls this afternoon. These calls come almost every day! We need the phone companies to stop providing service to these very evil people!

This message number was left on my answering system 11 times today.  Each call came from  different telephone numbees.  SCAM!

I get calls from this number with the subscription refund message. I am receiving this call at least every hour during the day  starting early in the morning!

42 robo calls in one day!!!

At least every 2 hours the call is “ Hello this is Kate. I am calling from computer refund department. Press one, I repeat, press one to get connected with our refund department now thank.    Each time they have called it has been a different phone number on my caller ID and one of the phone numbers they cloned from a business in Texas. It is hard to track who is doing it because they really don’t talk to you. Just call and annoy you with the recording constantly.
