Said they were from Special Olympics. We gave them our address & told them to send us an invoice but they insisted on wanting our credit info over the phone & went on with a long drawn out story about why they needed the money "now". We hung up on them!

Has kept calling over the last week at any and all times, weekdays and weekend.  Just got another call now.  I don't talk to anyone over the phone, so they're just wasting their time.

Called and hung up when answering machine answered.  Don't care who they are ... would NEVER give ANY $$$ to someone who calls our number.  Almost all of the calls we get tend to be some sort of scam... so it seems likely that these folks aren't really collecting money for whomever they claim they are.  I do love the idea that they are in a hurry for the money... as it sure makes it sound like a scam to me!

Jerks who call and call and call.  Operate like scammers, NOT like a charity.  Even if they actually were the charity (that they pretend to be), it should be illegal for them to endlessly harass via the phone.  Have found that many scams are created around the pretense of being a charity or political cause..  I don't answer unknown numbers, but it sure doesn't stop them from calling (past experience seem to indicate that it is hopeless to talk to such people, as they don't take you off their list).

These folks are now calling twice a day, even though they are blocked from getting through.  Jerks!

These people are calling us day and night.My mother is 82 and is being woke up with these calls.They do NOT leave message but just keep calling every day.IS THERE SOMETHING WE CAN DO TO STOP THEM?

they are calling saying they I should expect a technician out to repair electronics, or appliances. I did not order a tech out for such a job. I believe it's a scam

Received a call again today.  This makes the 3rd or 4th one. Caller ID shows SOI WA. They ask for husband by name and when I say he isn't here, they hang up before I can say anything else. Googled the number to find that it is Special Olympics and is calling from Washington.  I called the number back and after a few times got through.  There is an option to be added to the internal do not call list.  Press "0", then it will ask you to enter your 10 digit phone number and then tells you your info will be added to the system and may take up to 48 hours for no more calls.  

Yes, Tacoma, you can either talk to your carrier about "selective call rejection" or whatever name they give it. Most carriers will allow you to block a list (usually 32) of numbers. Or you can buy a phone that does the same thing. Anybody that calls repeatedly gets added. I never answer unknown calls, especially out of state calls, and they never leave a message. Occasionally I look them up, and its always scams like this one.

They call in the morning and in the evening for stretches of several days.  I never answer the phone, as I mentioned above, so they're still only wasting their time.

They call and call and call and call.  Too bad that we can't collect a fee for every jerk scammer that calls.  We don't answer such calls, and this one has been blocked for a long time.  NOTHING stops such folks from calling, lying, and continuing to be a general nuisance.

They just called again.  I guess they didn't quite get the message, namely that I don't talk to anyone over the phone.

These folks are nothing but a total nuisance, and most likely are scammers pretending to be representing an actual charity.  Have had them blocked for quite some time, but the attempted calls continue.  Bet that any money donated to this "cause" would end up lining the pockets of criminals.  

They started calling yet again. I still don't talk to anyone over the phone.

This number continues to call - regardless of the number of times I have requested to be taken off their calling list. They have never told me who they are representing - though it appears they intend to ask for a donation of some kind. (They never get that far!)

Perhaps one day, my antisocial and psychopathic nature will recede slightly, allowing the phone to be of some use again. For now, however, talking to people requires too much effort on my part to keep updating the mental list of slights committed against me.

Be that as it may, I'm here again because that phone number has started calling again. I guess no one has yet put the kibosh on whatever scams these people are attempting to perpetrate.
