Got a call and an immediate hang up from this number to my cell phone.  March 15th.  5:44 PM

Telemarket call.  Called back and voice greeting said to press 1 if you wish to be taken off there call list.

STOP! I HAVE GOOD LAWYERS!

Some mad with a foreign accent (sounded oriental) saying he can help me get a loan. I hung up.

a guy who sounded like he was in India called, and asked to speak with the owner. I said he's not in the office, he asked for a better time to call back and I said he's NEVER in the office. Then he asked for the manager. I asked what it was regarding, and he said it's all about a website for you. I said we don't need any, thank you and hung up.

Same guy who called 'Glass' called me.  He said, "You've been pre-qualified for $1500 cash advance, OK?"  I said no and hung up.

He also called me Claudia...I'm a dude.

An angry, somewhat abusive man with a strong Asian accent called my cell phone asking to speak with Tonya. I informed him that there is no Tonya at this phone number and that he had the wrong number. He said no, I don't have the wrong number and to listen to him as he is with Universal Lending. I told him no thank you and that I'm not interested and I'm not Tonya, then he asked me well who are you? I informed him that I wasn't going to tell him and had received these calls before, he said he never called before. I informed him that I didn't care and appreciate him to not call me again. He then began to bligerntly berate me on the phone telling me he was with Universal Lending and it was important. I said once again, no thank you and hung up.

Just received a call today, from an man w/ an indian or asian accent wanting to tell me about a lending promotion.  He said he was from Universal Lending.  I asked him to take me off of his list, and that he was illegally calling a cell phone.

By the look of the dates from some of the previous reports here and on other "who's calling me sites" it looks like they're calling out to a lot of people.  I answered and found the guy's asian accent so thick I couldn't understand much besides "congratulations, my phone number, and $1300." I was going to just hang up but I tried telling him twice that I couldn't understand him.  He actually hung up on me.  That may be the first time a telemarketer hung up on me.  According to the posts above it sounds like this is some kind of bogus loan company.  The ironic thing is that I generally don't answer if I don't recognize the number (they'll leave a message if its that important) and the only reason I answered is because I'm waiting to hear back from my real bank about a real loan.  You'd think if you were going to try to scam someone you'd at least be able to communicate with them.

Scammers.  They spoof numbers and then do mass calling.  They want your credit card information.  [***] - it's no longer fun to have either an e-mail address or phone.

They stopped calling after I started playing along and agreed I was Cecilia...my real name is Peter.

I was pretending to be super excited...poor guy was probably ready to ring his bell and yell out, "I GOT ONE!"  

I think he caught on at the end as he developed a sarcastic undertone.  Hahahaha!

If they call again I'm going to pretend HE won something by calling into a radio station. :D

These people call me over and over, I finally called the number back and a recording states if you do not wish to recieve thier "special offers" press 1 to be put on the do not call list... Hopefully it works, I would suggest everyone do this if it does... They usually call once a day, so if I haven't heard from them by the first of the week, I'll post again and let everyone know that it worked

Received a call today from a man with a strong (I think asian) accent.  I could NOT understand a word he said.  When I told him that I did not understand him, he hung up.

Received phone call when I answed there was a telephone ringing on the other end - when the someone answered, heavy foriegn accent, told me he could help me financialy, I told him I was not interested, he became irrate - so click - he got the big hang up ! I hate these people calling my cell phone.

Ugh!! Count me in on getting this annoying #...the problem is when I see the # and don't answer it...the person on the other end stays on long enough making noise and then it appears that I have a voice mail...later I will check voice mail and no one is there! Total JERKS!! I am afraid we are gonna start getting a lot of these people! I have an idea...start talking in some crazy made up foreign language...that is what my brother does every time and they hang up! It might not solve the problem...but it could be fun REVENGE! Ha ha!!

Please see what can be done to stop these calls!!!

I received 2 calls from this number from the Seattle, WA. area.  Both times it was a man with a thick accent (Asian or Middle Eastern) who asked for someone else.  I told them I have had this number since 1999.  The man proceded to tell me that there was some money waiting for me, so I told him I would report them to the authorities and hung up.

its probably an advance fee loan scam - or a payday loan scam

MANY STATES HAVE BANNED PAYDAY LOANS!  Check your Attorney General Websites.


Here is some information on advance fee loan scams.   This is where they tell you can get a loan - but demand several months payment upfront as a deposit- they take your money and disappear  and you never get the loan they promised.

I just made my report RE: this number.  Also, if you call the number back, an automated menu allows to to (supposedly) take my cell phone # off their list.  We'll see if that works!

The good news is that I think people are a lot more informed about scams and frauds than they were years ago.  The bad news is that in the past year I heard on the Clark Howard financial radio show that the number one thing that thugs in Jamaica have turf wars over is e-mail lists of gullible people in the U.S.!   I am fairly confident that no one who reported this annoying/fraudulant number here is on those lists...
