robo scam call. Saying your credit card purchase today on Amazon for $77.99 will be charged unless you call them back! Scam!
If you are going to call them back, you will probably be asked to verify your card number, then you will really get charged.

A very poorly computerized voice, claiming .89 cents was charged to “my” (name not specified) Visa card for an Amazon order. Please call back at same number to report fraud, if this purchase was not made at 206-462-4183.

I’m not sure I got the whole message, as the recording was already playing when the recording started. The amount may have been higher. But, it restated that a purchase had been made, and if i did nothing, my item would be sent to me.

I agree with ljb, this is a scam. I’ve received emails for the same thing, but when I called MY bank, there was nothing there.

I’m still not sure “who” exactly was calling.

Same message as stated above.  Checked my email for online purchase from Amazon.  Nothing there.

Left message stating that $77.99 was charged today on Amazon and to call the number if it is incorrect. Sounds fishy because it is! Number blocked.

Call that credit card will be charged $77.99, hang up of you made purchase call if not.

Received Amazon call today $77.99.   Called the number. they tried to get me to send western union card for refund. How stupid is that.  They hung up when I said I would wait to see bill. Called Amazon and no ordefwas placed. Bogas phone #as well

jul 17, 2019      Scammer - wanting you to call back to acquire your credit card.    I called Amazon and reported the number I received the call.  Hopefully, someone will show up, knock on their door and arrest them.

the caller said there was a $77.00 charge on my amazon card i had to call and they would confur your number . i did not call , don`t any one call the number ia 206-462-4183no name

Definitely a scam. Amazon doesn't watch your card or your purchases and call you if they think there's something suspicious. They take your order, process it, and ship it. It's up to you to monitor your account and your card.

Left a pre-recorded message saying $77 was charged to Visa account for a purchased from Amazon. Please call if you didn't order this item.

computerized voice msg left today, stating $77.99 purchase to Amazon was made today and they want me to confirm it. Nope!!! Not after reading all the comments on here. Glad I checked here 1st!  Thanks for commenting your calls folks!!

called back, and yes this is a scam.... I was stupid enuf to think this was Amazon and allowed access to my PC, they purchased 2 gift cards while I watched, and said they were waitting for the decline email to come in... After 10 mins of waiting I called Amex and my Bank and cancelled both of my Credit Cards and hung up the phone and PC

A [partial] message from an unnamed company was left on my answering machine saying that my account was going to be charged $299 for renewal of a subscription and that if I didn't not want the charge to happen, to please call this number. Because I have no subscriptions for (or worth) that amount, I figured it to be a scam. It is. I won't call.

Had a call on Aug 6, 2019. Stating my card would automatically be changed $299,00 for computer charge if I did not call them back. Did nothing. Hard to understand exactly what computer charge.
