Automated system says it's the IRS and found I committed a fraud on my taxes.

Automated message that says I committed fraud on my taxes. Wants me to call back.

Same thing- IrS saying I committed fraud.

Same thing. I got the call once before I filed my taxes, so we all laughed. Then again after I filed. But both times made it sound like they were on their way to get me.

Just got the call saying that they found I fraud on my income tax and I need to call them back right away. I don't remember her name it was officer something. Sorry she said it so fast.

got a call claiming to be IRS stating that I committed FRAUD also left a recorded message to call back right away when I called back I spoke to someone and there was a lot of noise in the back ground like a call center when I asked for the officer the person on the line acted like he did not know who they were but then said he would transfer me but the line went dead at that point every time I call back it is a non-working number

Got two calls in two days.  They left a message both times saying fraud, blah, blah, blah.  It's almost laughable that people fall for this s**t.  The IRS sends letters or appears at your door, they don't call.

Automated message indicating I committed fraud on my taxes. I wont call them back.

I just got a voicemail from this number saying they are from IRS and want me to call back ASAP for the fraud....

I got the same message few minutes ago

Also just received a call from this number saying I am committing fraud. Got my taxes done and paid what I had to pay. Called back and got a dead number, tried again and a man with an accent claiming to be "officer" something answered. I hung up

Same as above.   Recorded message saying I commuted fraud on my taxes. Must call back immediately. Not gonna do it!!

Also received same call today- it was an automated voicemail saying that I had committed a fraud on my tax return, was liable for misconduct, and needed to call the number back right away- I did not, as knew I hadn't committed a fraud, plus hadn't gotten anything from the IRS in the mail, which would be the normal channel of communication.

Recieved a call today from this number at noon- recording left on  my vmail stating i commited fraud on my taxes- called it back- they asked for me by name- but listed an address id never lived at- so i asked if they were from the IRS what was the last four of my ssn? and then man on the line states he cannot give me that information over the phone- he then asked me if i would like to be transferred to my local police dept and i replied yes- then he hung up on me- so i called back to be removed from their list and the lady that answered acted as if she could not hear me over and over again. I called my PD and they advised me this has got to be a scam. 4 hours later- around 4:30pm- and this time they asked for an Andrew- but had no last name so i again i advised them that i had already received a call- and that i would like my phone number removed- they then hung up on me- tried to call back againt o confirm i wouldnt get any more calls and the number was disconnected.

I've been receiving calls on my cell from this same number 2064624216 along with the same messages.  I tried calling back from my office number oppose to using my cell, got a person and asked him for his IRS id# which he gave me a five letter/digits, I asked why are you called me  and suddenly they hung up. I had heard/read something a while ago about these calls, stating soon as you call back from your phone, they can get all of your personal info including credit cards and bank account info.   All pls be weary about calls as above. As I understand that the IRS never calls anyone.
