Just got the same call.  The gov't has to use unknown phone numbers??  He said I was receiving this offer because of my great record of paying bills on time and always filing taxes on time.  Well, my credit record stinks and I am behind on my taxes.  I could barely understand him, and when I called the 'U S Treasury' #, I swear it was the same person!! I was told yo ask for Michael Freeman there.  DO NOT let them scam you.   Remember, if it sounds too good to be true....it is.

Caller claiming I had been picked to receive $9000 from US Treasury

they called and said they were from the government and they were going to give me $9000 for being a good citizen and they gave me either my account number or a credit card or Western Union

I got a call about 9000 dollars they want me to go buy a green dot card and put $220 on it and they will western union me the 9000 dollars they said they were the us treasury department I told them I dont believe it is true.

I received the same phone call.They keep to call me every day and this is very strange.I think they are trying to foolish someone.hope they won't do it with

Some monkey with a foreign accent called me today to tell me I qualified for a $9000 grant from the US treasury. He gave me a confirmation number and asked if I wanted the money deposited directly into my bank account, credited to a credit card or via Western Union. I picked WU since I was not about to give out my bank account or credit card number. He told me to call him back on 202-462-5158 after I had completed the WU pick up money form. Then the BS came when he said I was to buy a $4.95 green dot money pack cardboard card and put up $240. Soon as I heard that I had to put up money, I told him to shove it. Obviously, a con artist.
Do the scams ever stop?

Getting calls from the last two weeks saying that they are the us treasury and that I have a bonus to claim for a grant. I told them that I didn't want it but thanks and they wanted to pressure me in telling them why I didn't want it and I just simply told them that I do not have to give them a reason and hung up the phone. Then they call again today 6-9-14 and was trying the same thing. I get there phone number and they gave me a conformation number to call there manager at 206-462-5158. I looked it up and is a scam.

I just received the same call today. When I asked to get the number from the US Department of Treasury where she called me from, she hung up. Pretty suspicious, don't you think?

These people answered the phone, by saying Shalom(which  is a form of saying peace in isalm). And didn't placed me a hold. I called private the same way they called me. Then they stated that their manger was busy and couldn't receive my call, to call them back in 20 mins to go through the application process. It sounds like a scam but when people are desperate they will go through the steps. BE CAREFUL, and don't give out personal information

Received a call from a man stating that he was from the United Stated Grant Department. He told me that I was being given a grant of $9000 for being a good citizen, paying my bills and my taxes. He gave me 3 options to get the money. Credit card, checking account or Western Union. He gave me an ID # and then gave me a phone number to call and speak to a manager. The number is 206-462-5158. This guy had my full name including middle, address and cell and home numbers.

I got a call from the unknown caller. Said for paying my bills on time, they are going to give me $9000 dollars. Call 206-462-5158 and gave me conf. #. When I called they told me to go to western union with $270. In cash and call him when I got there. Yea, right. His name was Alex Cooper, and he's not giving me the miney, the US treasury is.

I have been receiving calls from the phone number listed above.  I blocked it.  Now the calls are coming through as "No Caller ID".   This is a scam.  I listened to the woman (who had a Hindi accent) tell me that I would receive $9,000 "loyalty bonus" from the U.S. Treasury.  I told her, "This is a scam.  Do no call me again."  I would think everyone would want to say the same thing.  The U.S. Treasury doesn't just give a "$9,000 loyalty bonus" to "random citizens" as she stated.   At least I think the U.S. Treasury is a better manager of our money than what is being described in these calls.

I called the. FBI number and they hung up on me!

I received a call about receiving a $7,000.00 loyalty reward for being a good citizen and told me to call the U.S. Treasury Dept. In Washington,DC and give the confirm. Number to get the money quick. ph.202-657-4113. The lady confirmed she was from. US Treasury Dept.,but she was foreign speaking and could not understand her I kept asking her to explain it and she hung up.
