Getting a cold call from someone promising you money as a Grant, loan, gift is always a scam. It involves an advance fee, or you divulging personal, financial information. Your caller was spoofing (faking) their phone number & were probably located in Asia. Do not take, or call back such numbers. This is a VERY well known scam.
- chris williamsThis $9,000 loyalty bonus scam is also using the number 1-845-373-1048 . I can't believe they have reached so many people and are still running without the governed shutting them down .I figure they probley get 1-10 people to send money and that's being modest in my estament. People need to report,report,report... Like said in other post there are people that really need the money so bad that they take the chance and lose there shirt. For a scam that has gone on this long I blame the government and all involved in stopping these scams I'm sure hackers and scammers are good but I have to believe the U.S government is better . come on big gov put ur gloves on and stop this...........

- TIred of Scams, Catch these guys| 1 replyThe call back number for this scam is 253.216.8095
- Caller: Federal Grant Dept
- RJ replies to TIred of Scams, Catch these guysI just got a similar call. The callback number for a "Sr.Acct. Mgr" was (646) 666-9727. I was told I was picked by the Federal gov't thru it's Loyalty Bonus Program because of my good record of always paying my taxes and never having filed bankruptcy. The latter is true, but because I'm on Social Security Disability I don't even have to file taxes, let alone pay any. Oops! on these scam people! Yes, I was told I had to pay $100 fee up front! Which, of course, is ludicrous! The U.S. government doesn't operate the way these scam artists are trying to portray it! STAY AWAY!!! I sure hope they get caught......and justice is done.
- Dorin Dawson replies to Sulma BravoI also received the same call and the same information that you guys are talking about. This is so crazy. They aid they at calling from US Treasury.
- DawnI just had the exact same phone call. From someone with broken English. James Walter, called me from 213-457-0578. He told me to call Steven Wills at 253-336-5319, the accountant officer. Honestly, they knew my name and my mailing address. They knew nothing else.
I sure would like to know what the hell is up with people, and how they get our phone numbers.
Wish that the government could find people like this. I know some special needs people that these people have scammed, and actually got them to give them more personal information, so they could get their identity.
Not good. I wish these people who call, would get their karma FAST!!!- Caller: Department of Treasury
- judie4/07/2015 I got Loyalty Bonus call. stating if I call telephone # 1-360-450-3752,in Seattle Washington- and give them a id #, I could choose cash, or put in bank account..... $9000, from government. not have to pay back. God knows I really could use the money...but am very skeptical.

- Cree replies to RLSo today is 9-13-16 and lo and behold i just got offf the line with a suspicious lady and man. The first call came from +15166920000 and she didn't introduce herself at all. She had the audaciousness to become irritated with me when i started to question her about calling from the United States Treasury Department in regards to the Loyalty Program because i never filed bankruptcy and because i paid my taxes on time and never been in any trouble with the law. Im like well shucks lol how much is it oh just 9200 and you dont have to pay anything for it. Then she had the never to spell out Loyalty like i was stupid which made my husband and i laugh. Im sure she was very p.o'd by it. She then took a breath as to i guess compose herself because we where taking it serious at all. She gave me a second number to call 3152108762 which this guy answers not with an gov greeting but with a hello and im like hello yep scam and he proceeds to inform me that i am being rewarded same spill as before and by now im just like dying with laughter hes telling me that someone will call me to confirm and asked did i want my money in a check i wanted to see if he'd offer anything else but no im like yep mail it he tells me ok thank u ma'am have a great day. Im like wait wait wait i have a question seeing as how you never asked me any personal info only have me number you didnt even ask me to verify my name how are u going to send it. He says ma'aaaaammmm someone is going to call you and confirm everything and send you the check. Thank you now goodbye. I lost it i almost pee'd my pant i havent laughed so hard since maybe 5 mins into the first conversation. Oh and my code was Gg1109 so imagine my surprise when no 3rd call came. People beware thevies come in many forms.
