Just received a call from a guy with a very heavy Indian accent saying he was from the IRS.  I said "OH REALLY?  And why are you calling?"  He said "uh.." and hung up.  Googled and confirmed my suspicions that this is a scam.  Warned folks via Facebook.

I've read all the messages from everyone else and now it seems to have escalated!! I was told to shut the f*** or he'd kill me!! Then he called back and told my husband he'd kill both of us!! Be careful people, we in fact have an officer on his way to us as he has threatened the wrong people!!

When I came home today my mom told me that she in trouble with the IRS and I told her why?   and she let me hear the phone call and I was listening and I told her IRS well never contact you by phone they will by a letter and I know what the letter looks like and he told her that she would be arrested and her house would go to him with all of her things and to me I would fight this guy to the hilt because that's my father stuff and I have people that I know in high places.  

My question is where did he got our numbers?   Any how did he got our information?   It's all confidentially.  Privacy.  

My mom experienced the same thing. A threatening recorded message left on her machine:
Some excerpts:
"Sorry to inform you IRS has criminal allegations against you. If you dont call back you will be arressted all you assets will be (some gibberish  about  11 Judicaial  members not being able to save you) Thank you have a nice day"

As from the above post IRS will never call and communicate by mail.
My course of action.
Step 1 report to FCC do not call.   Its against the law to leave a recorded phone message in the first place.
the threats left on the message are scary.

Same thing...man with heavily Pakistani or Indian accent says he is from the IRS and calling about a very serious violation. When I said to him, "Are you kidding? This scam has been on the news. Please take my name off of your list." He started to blabber about something else and I hung up on him.

I got a call from here saying my name was picked by the government grants program. For 7000. But I got to go to monet gram and wire 247 and they'll turn around and send me 7247. Is this a fraud?

same old crap fool calls and I usually scan ID to miss answered once and called him  a fool and hung up
