They called and I told him we all use iPads and it really confused that Indian but he kept insisting there was a Microsoft computer here. He ran out of way to ask if I had a PC and when I told him he was wrong and he hung up. What an ass.

I got a call yesterday at 8:00am from that number. They hang up when I said "Hello".
I got another call from the same number, few minutes ago. The guy said I had problems with my Windows on my computer. It's kept sending message error. It is a brand new computer and I never remarked any "send message error". The guy hung up when I started to speak. Strange.

If you are being threatened over the phone, please report it to your local authorities. They can't look into it unless they know about it.

Same routine, same scam, same thick Indian accent. When I pointed out that my caller ID said "WA Directory Assistance" , not Microsoft, he acknowledged that Microsoft doesn't call anybody, and said they had assigned  it to (something) Solutions. I said I wasn't about to do anything to my computer on the instructions of some stranger. He said they were a valid company and I could check their website. I toid him to email me the URL. He hung up.

A male, with a distinctly caucasion inflection, tone, diction, etc., called me late last night 12/10/13, warning that "if you call this number again, I am going to call the FBI."  Startled, I checked my Washington State contacts, did not recognize the number and so called it back, to clear up the misunderstanding; only to get repeated busy tones.  Then, looked 206-555-0114 on Google and found this info here by you all.  Now, I recall that I did, in fact, receive a recent call of perhaps not more than 5 days ago, from Indian/Pakistani accented individual, late one evening, telling me this BS about Microsoft, "identified problems with your computer," and other annoying garbage.  Under my already pressure of work, a deadline, etc., I smelt rat and told the punk never call me again.  And so, thank you all for allaying my concern as it would appear to me that the white man behind the scam (.."I going call the cops, etc.") is a purveyor of Indian/Pakistani young men he uses to bother folks or otherwise use to assist their pimp in furthering a fraud upon the American Citizen.  Thank you all. But, FU 206-555-0114

They haven't really committed a fraud until you give them the information they're trying to get; otherwise, it's attempted fraud!

Having said that, they do NOT have the information to take or steal anything from you unless you give it to them; that's why they call you - if they knew the information, they would just take whatever they want and not waste time calling!

I received a similar call about a week ago and since I had heard their spiel a couple years ago (this has been around a LONG time), I knew what they were going to tell me....so I played along for a while and after getting bored, I informed him that he was next going to tell me a certain thing and he was surprised and asked how I knew...and when he got a bit "testy", I informed him of his ancestry and hung up!!  Again, they will only get from us the information we give them and there is no such thing as him being able to tell anything about our computers unless we grant them remote access!  No remote access, no harm, no foul!

These clowns have been calling me every day for about 2 months now.

First 2 or 3 times I told them to go hang themselves, now, I answer, the line stays quiet for about 30 seconds, I hear laughing, and they hang up.

I got fed up this morning, and blocked their number.

Same thing, guy with east indian accent.  I insisted how he got my name and number and then he hung up.
Scam artists. The only thing I can thik of is I just bought a smart TV from samsung and tried downloading software from the samsung website.  It gave driver issues.  Perhaps it was not a Samsung web site.

Called at 8:30am on Saturday morning, WTH.  Don't theses a******s sleep?  Did not answer.  I don't bother answering my phone any more,  it is either a scammer, telemarketer, or bill collector looking for someone I have never heard of.  Thinking about just cancelling my phone service with BellAliant.  Why am I paying $150 a month to Bell Aliant to be aggravated.  When I called them to see if they could put a block on these numbers that call all the time, they replied the only thing they could do was change my phone number.  They are just as bad, the phone companies should be held accountable for giving these numbers to scammers and thieves and do nothing when you complain about the calls.
