This individual is calling. And stating he is from the irs , i believe this is a scam

This guy is not legit,  he is a scammer.

This guy called me and when I told him that I was verifying that he is from the IRS he just said ok and hung up.

calling from the IRS.. umm not buying it the IRS does not call they mail you certified letters.

Close,   but they don't send certified letters in common practice.  You will receive a letter with Us Treasury return address on a regular #10 business envelope. They don't have to prove you received the letter since you are already liable for the cause.

this guy called from the irs and stated that I needed to call him back because their was a miscalculation with the irs.  I told him that I already went online and looked uop his phone number and he was a fake.  He started getting hateful with me and said that if I don't call him back then a policeman was going to show up at my job, so I asked him where I worked.  he didn't know so I hung up on him.  He called me back and on my cell phone it stated emergency number, he said ,"this is a police man in your area where are you?  "  I said, " uh excuse me I am not telling you where I am!"  and hung up!  It was crazy!!!  Do not call him back I have a feeling that he is going to be able to get info from your cell or something on scamming money.

Just received the IRS call.  Told him to call my CPA and hung up...

Also got two calls from 206-701-7517 stating he was from IRS. I called back the number and asked who he was looking for. He asked for my name and I told him he called first. He hung up.
