I received two calls from this number last night --- one time I answered and they asked for me by name and because I didn't recognize the number I wouldn't give them information nor would they identify themselves.  When they called again I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message--i called it back and got "gilmore research group"  I am on a DO NOT CALL list and do not appreciate these calls.

    Seriously Annoyed
I have been bothered by these folks too, to the tune of 2-3 calls a night on weekdays, and on weekends as well.

If you'd like to make your displeasure known to them, here are some handy DIRECT phone numbers you can call (feel free to persist if no one picks up, ha!):

Tim Lensing, Seattle Call Center Manager, 206-219-1920
Anthony Salisbury, Director Telephone Call Center Operations, 206-219-1957

If these don't work, go straight to the top and call the CEO directly:

Robin Arnold, Chief Executive Officer, 206-219-1945

    Hope this helps.

Hey, Just an FYI, you survey companies, like Gilmore Research, are not restricted by the Do Not Call legislation.  They can legally call your number. If you hang up, or don't answer the computer system will just keep bringing up your number. If you answer and request to be taken off the list, you shouldn't have any problems. This goes for all survey research.  You can go to the market research associations site for more info on this.  www.mra-org.net  follow the links to consumer info.

    Fight Back
I received a call from this group and they told me they were the King County Department of Public Health. I asked if the caller was an official from the department of Public Health and they said yes. I filed a complaint with the King County Department of Public Health and the State Attorney Generals office for fraudulent misrepresentation. If this is how they are contacting you you might consider doing the same. I also provided the numbers for the management provided by the smart contributor above(thanks). Fight Back.

This is Gilmore Research.  They will pay you cash ($75->$200) for all kinds of focus groups.  I've been going to their focus groups for years and find them pretty fun--topics have been mock jury duty trials, beer advertising, a local game company, and quite a bit more.

They aren't scammy at all, and are one of the better market research firms in the region.  Personally, I dont mind these calls at all and have referred several friends who've been interested as well.

These people have called my home 6 times today asking for different people each time.  They claim they are from the Department of Fish and Wildlife and that the person hasn't turned in their hunting report.  We have answered the phone three of those times and told them they have the wrong number.  They call back 5 minutes later asking for a different person.  They say "oh, this is the wrong number?  I say yes and they say they will take us off the list only to call again minutes later. Now I am answering the phone and letting it sit there while they continue to ask for an unknown person.  They are calling again as I type this! We're up to 7 calls now within 40 minutes.

They have called me several times so far on my cell phone, which is surprising, as that number is not generally given out. These are the times of the missed calls:
    10:20am April 21
    5:07pm April 22
    4:20pm April 29
    5:19pm April 30

They also called on April 24 at 2:42 pm. That time I answered, and, after listening to a woman talk so quickly that I thought she might be a recording - she didn't pause at all! - I interrupted and said that I wasn't interested. She said thank you anyway, yet they have called me twice since then. I am in Thurston County, WA, and I believe she said the call was regarding a survey.

You can't request to be taken off the list because they keep calling you over and over with a computer recording.  I don't know how to get them to stop calling or what business they're really from.  I'd like to be able to mess with them back.

Said they were from the Department of Health -- doing a survey that would take some 20 minutes (about) -- to help determine health insurance changes needed (?)
I started the survey and was asked about my phone -- cell or land -- how many phones in the household -- do I share a cell with anyone ?? (does cell use determine health? ... scary, yeah?)
Then the daily eating habits of the household, my weight etc
I was told I could refuse to answer any question --
Mid-survey when the surveyor was going on and on about how many times I eat  carrots I told him that was it -- I was tired of the questioning -- no more -- good-bye and hung up
    He said he completely understood
Felt more like an inquiry as to how long it took to irritate me or for me to realize I didn't know who I was talking to
    Ya know?
I've received no further calls -- knock on wood.

    Me in Oregon
I keep getting calls from this number on my cell phone, which I only gave out to my health care provider, but I do not answer because I don't recognize the number and figure if they really wanted to talk to ME they'd leave a message.  Irritating to think that my health care provider may have given my number out. :-<

Funny how many automated calling systems are tied together, so as to time nuisance calls to not interrupt each other, but continue annoying the victim-target!

I just received two calls from a "Seattle" listing. One is this one for Gilmore Research Group - 2067265555, http://www.gilmore-research.com/

Well, if you check out the website of this professional annoyance business, their entire operation is a setup to get paid to annoy target victims. In Washington State, our government is run by an illegal gang that rigs elections with criminal voters and dead people, and tops that with phony hand ballot counts when the non-democrat party runners win an election!

Of course the Washington State Democrat Party uses tax $$ to pay for sham surveys - just like the Washington D.C. Democrat Government uses tax $$ by the Trillions to pay ACORN to sign up dead and criminal voters, and steal houses from mortgage lenders!

It's a Banker Cartel world, people! Get used to this - they forced their thugs into the presidency and congress, what stands in their way of doing any harm to us they want?
