i received a call from this number claiming a debt to my cell phone company - i contacted Verizon and they verified that it is fraudulent activity

They called me and wanted to verify with my last 4. I said what was this in reference to and they claimed to be with Chase/JP Morgan. I got irate and said I had no account with them. The lady then proceeded to ask for my social again - I said no unless she could tell me what this wa I. Reference too. She said she would I'd I have her my last 4. I said mail the info to me, she said she would and I hung up....

I continually receive phone calls from this number, I do not know the person they seek nor do I care to. Harassment is illegal, Federal Trade Commission and our State Attorney General are next to report this company or who ever is generating the calls..

I've been getting calls EVERY SINGLE DAY for 3 months on my home phone...anywhere from 7:30 am thru the day.....leaving the British msg. w/my name.....I have an unlisted number!!! I never answer it...I AM FRICKING TIRED OF THEM WAKING ME UP & ANNOYING ME EVERYDAY!!  How do we STOP them from calling???

I've missed several calls from this number over the last week and finally answered today. Same as others, she asked for my social for "verification" I declined unless she could verify what is was regarding. The recording said my "whole" name but left off part of my middle name, which mean they pulled it from some phone record that could not fit my full name.

She said it was with JP/Chase I said I did not have an account. she then asked if I ever had Bank1 or Washington Mutual, I said I had WaMu about 8 years ago, she said "That's what this is about". I said "tell me exactly what it is about, I left that bank in good standing" and she wouldn't tell me anymore. Even if there was some sort of fee from 8 years ago, that's WAY past statutes of limitations and extremely illegal.

This is a debt collection agency.  I have received several calls from them with no message left.  They call around 8 AM every time.  I called the number back and got someone on the line and the name of the company is Convergent something.  I asked them to remove my number as they were calling for my daughter and she doesn't live here anymore.  We'll see if that works or not.  I HATE being called at that time in the morning by someone I don't know.

A prerecorded voice was left on the answering machine at someone else's house (I have not used that number in many years) with my first, middle, and last name added in, saying if you are this person, press one, if wrong number, press two.

I looked up the number and it gives a completely bogus business and address - a locksmith with a Lynnwood street address but then gives Seattle 98104 (just south of downtown).  No such street address in that city/zip. Probably a junk debt buyer, as I have some old stuff well past the statute of limitations. Junk debt buying needs to be outlawed.

If you do get them on the phone, tell them they have the wrong number, you never heard of that person,  otherwise they will keep calling night and day. Junk debt buyers are the absolute worst of the pond scum out there. They expect you to pay in full the original amount plus a load of fees to clear up this so-called debt and clean up your credit report (these debts are so old many are no longer on it), when they paid maybe a few pennies on the dollar for it.

NEVER pay a cent on old debts or even admit to them (they are recording you), because it starts the statute of limitations all over again.

I got a few calls from this number but didn't answer because I don't answer numbers I don't recognize.  I always look up the numbers online before calling them back to see if they are legit or not.  One way to prevent them from calling is to get the Mr Number app for your cell phone.  You can select the call and choose to hang up or answer and go directly to voice mail.  I set it to hang up and identify it as SPAM.

They continue to call my cell phone.  I downloaded an app so that they are now blocked.  I have no idea who they are nor do I care.

You can download Mr Number to your phone and setup a block list.  I've done this and added that number to the list.  When the call comes in, it may or may not ring once but then my phone hangs up on the call.  I don't have the time, nor the patience for this type of business practice/scam.

I too keep getting a call from this # never leaves a message. The new thing is people are faking out people and are using their phone lines for something else. I want to know when this ALL became ok to do! What ever happened to the DO NOT CALL LIST! And being able to stay private! It irks me to no end I get calls coming in from 8am on the DOT until 9pm and it is never ANYTHING!!! Jerks!

Fraudulent call, check your phone bill if you answer.

this number calls my office several times a day. but, when I call the number back to have the number removed, the line is picked up by an automated system that states, "please hold for the next available representative"....

Robo call. Likes to call early in the morning.

I get a call at exactly 8am everyday from this company looking for my husband.  I did talk to one person and she said it was for a WAMU acct opened in 2001 ( which he never had) I said it was funny that they are now just tying to say something 13 yrs later and he never had an account from them and I needed something in writing.  She said she would send something but of course they didn't. Now I just tell them he never had this account and it is past the Statue of Limitations to even try to collect and she says ohh and then hangs up

Automated phone call hung up when I answered. I called them back and they were calling about an 8 year old Sprint bill. I asked him if he knew that it was illegal to have an automated system call my cell phone. He was shaken and said he would remove my number from their list. Reporting them today.

Got the same type of call, but it was a 702 area code!!
