Phone call saying I was being awarded an 8000 grant from the treasury Dept

I got the same call. Trying to find out if it's a spam or not.

I got a call that I was awarded an 8000$ grant from this number 206-801-0781 is this a true thing or not they said it was the state treasurer

I just got the same call. Its probably a scam.

I got the call also and they told me to buy a green dot prepaid money card. Then he wanted me to put 200 dollars on it for a one time transfer fee. At that point I hung up and blocked the number.

I too got a call from a different number telling me to call this number to get my 8000. Dollar grant

I got the same call about the 8000$  I told the people I already had the card and wanted the card info.  I made up the info and the guy told me I would be receiving my money in about an hour.  Complete scam

I also received the call but I did a little research of my own. The government will never call and offer you money especially if you have not applied for it. These scam artist also say they cannot take personal information over the phone yet once you get the green dot pack you still have to give personal information because there the ones supposed to be putting the money on the card. I'm just saying..........

I just go the same call and was giving a code to receive the $8,000.00.

I just received a call from 206-801-0781said they were from the  government said his name was eric jones  about a grant

Says us treasury Grant for $5000 ,
