This is the reply to phone number given for calls coming from (933) 564-3651. When I called no one answered it just rang and rang. But on other sites they have stated that this is a scam by a middle eastern man trying to get you to wire money to avoid a lawsuit that he says has been or is about to be filed against you by the IRS. He claims to be an officer and will come and arrest you if you do not comply. Total BS do not send any money and report it to the authorities.

I received the same exact call with the same information.  I called our local precinct who said they were aware of fraudulent calls as such, that the caller is being routed from India to WA number and that there was little they can do about it.  Thank you for posting this complaint as it helped validate our suspicion.

I have received several calls from numbers I did not recognize in the past few days. Numbers were from New York, Alabama, my own phone number (odd!) and now this one from 933-568-3651. The other calls from the other numbers did not leave a message (I don't pick up if I don't know the caller). This time I got the machine-sounding voice mail message regarding an IRS lawsuit and gave the number 206-801-1789 for me to call.

Needless to say, I will not reply.

I received the same phone call, saying that this was the final notice from the IRS and that a lawsuit would be filed against me. When I called the number back, it rang and rang for over 2 minutes with no answer.

Same exact thing just happened to me.

I received the call stating this was the IRS calling with final notice of pending lawsuit, and to call back. I tried calling several times and only got a busy signal. I will not try to call again. I'll just wait and see what happens.

Also received a call claiming to be a final notice of an impending IRS lawsuit. The IRS will NEVER contact you by phone. Also you would have received a summons of some sort if being sued. So not fall for this BS.

Got the same IRS lawsuit message on my machine. I have been told many times that the IRS, attorneys, banks, etc., do not conduct official business like this. Normally you would receive an official letter in the mail, which then might allow you to communicate with them by phone. This is surely a scam, especially knowing where the call came from.

I received the exact same message with the "lawsuit will be filed".  What's funny is that my ex husband is the one with the tax issues. The irs has been sending his mail to me for the past 13 years becuase when we divorced, he hadn't paid his taxes 3 years prior to the divorce! I have contacted the irs to change his address but since I am not a family member, I am not allowed to give them information on him!

This is definately a scam!
