It is in fact Verizon, calling about an overdue account.
They want their money!!

Verizon... called me four times today from 4 different numbers (this one among them) trying to collect on a debt from someone named Scott (they gave a middle and last name, too, but I won't mention it here). My name is not Scott. I am not a man. I don't owe Verizon anything. I wish they'd stop calling. Out of four calls, they only left one message.

I got a call on my house phone from this number this morning claiming that they got a call to come and do a routine cleaning on my furnace.  They asked me if morning or afternoon was better and when I asked who had scheduled this he informed me that we spoke last year.  I said no, I don't think so and he hung up.

Definitely sounds like scammers.

Got a call from this number and it was literally what sounded like a looped recording requesting the last four of someone's social security number.  Nothing suggesting it was Verizon at all though.  Call them directly instead if you suspect it's them.

2017/06/30  1542 hrs. Left no message.

Says they are verizon calling about an overdue account for a William. There is no William at this number and my number. I called verizon and they stated they have not called and to ignore as it is not them.

They did not leave a message, but it's the 2nd phone call I've received from Verizon this morning, from 2 different numbers.

"Automated" call stated they were from verizon looking for another customer. I am in good standing and always have been with them. When we tried to speak with represenitive, heard paper rustling in back ground and the caller huhng up.. i called verizon back, and the rep from verizon found that this number is not associated with any part of verizon. It is a scammer fishing for info

4-5 calls a day 7 days a week. Never leaves message!
If it's important, they should leave a message. I did attempt to return the call but the number does not accept inbound calls.  Sooo, unless they leave a message I've no idea who or what they want.

If you answered you wound realize it's obviously Verizon and not scammers.

Verizon wireless keeps calling 3 times a day asking for an Ashley. I have called them back several times and explained there is no one by that name living here they say they will remove my number but that it takes 48 h but they keep calling

Typically a good HVAC tech will try to keep up on annual furnace services to keep your furnace running healthily

I called Verizon after receiving a call from this number. They started that this number does not belong to them, that they do not make collection calls and to never give out any ID information if you receive one of these calls. It is a scam.
