In response to your question; "How can a call come from a # that is disconnected?"  The company my sister works for pays a fee to have a phone number show up on caller id, other than the real phone number, because they do not want people calling them direct since they are a broker for another company.  You have to know the real number to get through.

this number has called my house and my cell in a matter of minutes..i tried calling and the number was disconnected!! im very confused & scared how did they get both numbers!!!!!?? someone needs to put a stop to this.

i started recevied this call almost a month ago as soon as my car due for the 15K.  i really thought it was the car company but never botherd to listen to the whole message. I just got a missed call from this number (205)855-4743 and tried to call back and got the "not in service" message. thats why i decided to search on this number...now i know not to ever bother with this and file a complaint.

got the same thing!!! i'm tired of getting these messages! isn't this a charge on my cell phone?! it needs to stop.

Repeated calls using 206-855-4743 and 410-875-9709. The recorded messages have been the same about an expiring car warrenty. The calls are coming to my home, my cell and the office. It is phone harassment. It's phone spam at it's worst and it's not clear why the caller keeps calling. Why would anyone do business with such sleaze?

This is the 3rd time I received a call from this group.  This time it came in on my business cell phone.  This scam has been going on for awhile.  Does anyone have a complaint contact for this specific company?

I get a call from this number every month saying that my car warantee is about to expire!!  My car was bought used...how did they get my number???  You cant call them back because there is no one there...how do I stop this?

I've been getting these calls for several years. It stopped for about 3 months, but they're back.  I get 4 of 5 calls a week on my cell phone.

The short story is they hope to sell you a worthless "extended warranty" for your car.  It works great if you never make a claim, but as soon as you do, BOOM, you notice that they just took your money and ran.

The basically robo-dial your number.  They just call number after number.  So if you're on the list, so sad, nothing can be done except for you to ignore them.  YES, it is illegal.  An YES, they don't care as they're already criminals.  I think they got my number from the retail store "Bed, Bath and Beyond", but I'm not positive.

The phone calls could be coming from anywhere.  The number is always faked, and it changes frequently (like every 2 or 3 days).  These guys are doing their best to cover their tracks.

About my warranty renewal I keep having these numbers blocked from my cell phone and the calls come from different numbers.  How do you make them stop?

There is no company that is calling you.  It's a scam.  There is no way to be removed from their list.

Your best bet is to tell YOUR telephone company.  Include the exact time of the call along with the data that showed up on the caller ID.  The Caller ID number is faked, but the phone company can track down the real sources with some sleuthing.

But note that these guys move on quick - they likely use stolen telephone services, so by the time all the numbers get tracked down they're shut down and moved to a new phone service out of a new city.

It's a worthwhile strategy for them - they're stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars.

I just got another one.  There is a whole web site dedicated to this scam, at http://factorywarranty.wordpress.com/.  I am not affiliated with that site, but it looks like he/she is making some progress identifying these criminals!

"..warranty. Press 1) to speak to a representative, press 2) to remove yourself from the list.  This is your final opportunity!" (Hah!) All in a now-deleted voice message.  Call came in the middle of a court hearing.  Ugh!  Got a similar voice message last Friday, had my phone turned off that time.

i got a call and i didnt answer because i was busy and when i tried to call it back it was diconected.

Its pretty funny how I am a 17 year old and have no car. So why would they be calling me? hahaha that pretty funny
