I had the same experience that Whitney had.  Called and hung up with no message

I just called the number and it is Breast Cancer Financial Funds.

Annoying constant calls. Legitimate companies provide caller ID and leave a message if it is legitimate need to contact recipient.  It's a shame the government DNC is infective in enforcing the laws regardless of the number of complaints often times made over a period of years.

As usual I received a call from no one. I keep hoping to come home and find a message on my machine but alas they never speak. I just want to have a friend please won't you call back and leave a message this time? I'm tired of anti-depressants please leave a message and validate my life and my answering machine. I'm heading back to my phone now in hopes it will ring and whoever will leave a message this time.

I don't think the government is there to enforce whether people are calling others for legitimate reasons

Called for someone who had the number 10 years ago.  Claimed to be Breast Cancer group.  When I asked to be put on their no call list she just kept up her sales pitch... I interrupted, mentioning federal law about no call lists.  She went away.

Breast Cancer Fund - she didn't say which fund. She was obviously reading her spiel and when I said I am on the DNC list she kept talking. I said never call me again and she hung up.

I just received a call from this number, too.  Before she started her speech, I said I don't give amounts I'm willing to donate.  I might donate if they send me something in the mail.  I said I wouldn't know if I had the money to donate or not.  She said she understood, then kept talking like she was reading from a script.  Wanted to put me down for $15.  I said, again, that I don't guarantee how much I can give.  I just hung up since she obviously couldn't understand the point I was trying to make.  What's funny is she asked for me before I even said hello.
