Caller ID says BCFA. We did not answer and caller left no message.

It's a "charity" called Breast Cancer Financial Assistance.  Actually, it's a call center calling on behalf of this "charity."  They used to call from a different number.  Here are the 800notes posts on calls from BCFA from the "other" number:

I didn't pick up and they didn't leave a message.

Over the years these folks have called from a variety of numbers, and they remain an endless nuisance.  Lot of calls from "cancer" ... my favorite being the calls from  "children's cancer".    Apparently the fake charity thing, works well for the scammers.  

Someone claiming to represent a breast cancer charity called and when I told the caller that the person she asked for was not available for health reasons, she tried to "just put us down as pink ribbon boosters for only $15". When I told her she was not to call again, she hung up.

They keep 95% of the money they raise

Caller ID shows the phone number.  I did not answer the call and no message was left.

Don't want these calls!! They don't leave a message so my thought is that they are not ligit. Just my opinion

DNC enforcers please do your job and shut these scammers down.  Why does this go on and on and on.  If the calls were forwarded to the people who are paid to enforce these laws, it would end in a New York second.

They call often and always after 730 pm and NEVER leave a message.  

The call was from a local number, but she said she was calling on behalf of a breast cancer charity based in another state (I think she said TN). Very pushy. I told her I do not donate via phone, she said they were mailing something. I asked if it was a mailer going out to everyone, she said everyone would get it. I told her I would look at it in the mail. She asked me how much I would donate, and I again said that I would decide that after I saw the paperwork, and that I would not donate at all if their paperwork came to me in the form of a bill (hate that). She said it would not be like that, and that there would be a suggested donation amount of $15 but that it could be changed. She asked for my address and I got suspicious (she shouldn't need it if they were doing a mass mailing...). She then started saying that the BILL would arrive for our AGREED UPON AMOUNT. At that point I told her to stop, that I had specifically told her that I would not donate if it was a bill, and that we had not agreed to anything. She didn't even stop talking. I told her that I would report her to the BBB. She STILL kept talking! By now I was mad and actually yelling in the phone for her to shut up, and she STILL kept going as if she could't even hear me! When she finally stopped talking, I told her that I was reporting them as a scam and hung up.
