I called them back and cussed them out!!!  

They don't answer their phones anymore!!!  Everybody needs to call and cuss out these communist charlies!

A lady with a strongly Asian accent speaking broken English said the government wanted to send me
$10,200 for...something. They had caller ID, they had my name and address, so I told them they were
wrong, and gave them a bogus name and addy. They wanted me to call another number and give them
a verification number (202 436-9067). I started asking where she was calling from, and she said
Washington. I think they don't know the difference between Washington D.C. and state. The more questions
I asked, the more flustered and uncertain the woman became. (she asked a few personal questions, age
and marital status, I said I was single, and would she like to marry me. THAT threw her off.) This is an
obvious scam, if you have time, you can have some fun with bogus information, but please don't make threats.
(Anything else is fair game, I figure. You don't have to be polite, but these people are probably close to slaves.
Needless to say, don't give them ANY correct information.)

They have called prior to today and hung up when I picked up the phone.  But today, a woman with a faint accent asked for me by name.  I said, "Who's calling please?"  She asked for me again and I repeated, "Who is calling."  She then hung up.  

Woman with Indian accent from the US Grant Department, I have been selected to receive grant money.  After actually figuring out what she said I hung up on her.  

Please have this number stop calling me.  It's a SCAM and they think that we are stupid when they say in a foreign voice that they are from the US government.  I'M BLONDE BUT NOT THAT BLONDE!

206-866-5706 calls me repeatedly and immediately hangs up.

Heavily accented woman told my my name and phone number were selected for $10,200 in US Government grant money that doesn't have to be repaid. When I asked what name they had she ignored it and went into her script; most of which I couldn't understand.  I hung up.
I wonder about the ringing at the beginning though.  I saw other comments mention something weird; I had it too.
I let the phone ring until the number showed up, then answered; and heard ringing like I was the one making the call!!!!  I wonder if it is a computer dialing random numbers and they only get our name and number because of that ringing deal.

Was just wondering if you were able too find out who these people are? I've gotten 5 calls today all within a 2 hour period of time.

Lady called, said she was with the US Government.  Said I was entitled to a 100 grant. Gave me a number with a code to call. If course the number was disconnected. They continue to call everyday.

They've repeatedly called me today. I work in telemarketing, when I call someone I state my name, company, and why I am calling. These people on the other hand, have music and noise in the background, and butchered my name, and could barely speak English. In which I told them I am at work and to stop calling me. If they call me again they will get cussed out until they take my number off their list. Total Scam.

I received a call today, and the associate claimed the government wanted to award me for paying my taxes and preceded to ask for my zip code to verify if I was the correct party. I just wanted to listen to see just what kind of scam he had going. Then he  begin telling me how  the amount of $10,200 would be given to me by direct deposit into my bank account or the option of purchasing a card to have the Money wired to me. After listening to the Bull, I politely ask  what kind of scam was he  trying, he tried to transfer me to a supervisor , but I told him to STOP and realize that if the US government had monies to distribute it would be a check and there would be no need for banking information. Then I told him to tell his Scam trainers to learn government payment processes before teaching the employees a scam and giving them a script to use

Do not call my number again just called the police about that number

They called me by my name but hung up when I asked.what they were calling about

Call came from Washington, DC 206-866-5706 A male with heavy accent, speaking very fast said that he was from the us government grant dept. And that I got chosen for $10,200 because I was low income or retired and that I needed to call this number and speak to a manager 202-580-8568. This is the confirmation number AS009. That I could get the money thru WesternUnion, deposit to my bank account or as a gift card.

I received a call from 206-866-5706 telling me I won 10, 200.00 & they needed my credit card info! Her name was Kelly, she said I won because I have paid my taxes, bills on time & I had never had a criminal record! :) Kelly went on to tell me I had to get ahold of another department, which sent me to a Mr. Andy Foster, 202-580-8568 at ext. 241, even though they already had my credit card information, Andy instructed me to go get a green dot money pack paper voucher, & put $150.00 on the voucher, then when I would call him back, he would take the $150.00 off the untraceable green dot voucher & then within 45 min I would have not only the $10,200 but 10,350.00, so nothing out of my pocket, so I decided to google these phone numbers, AND ITS ALL A SCAM! :( please be more careful with people u try to trust, THEY JUST WANT YOUR MONEY!

I always ignored this call. But, lately they keep calling non stop. In the last hour I got 18 calls from this number. So finally I answered it. First a women asked for me then romantic music started and she started talking dirty. Hung up and blocked. Since I have started doing online apps for a job I all of a sudden get a [***] ton of these calls. So annoying.

They've called me about 5 times. About $10200  grant money.  After a gave them some bogus info i told them i was just messing with them and tat i knew it was a scam.  I told no one  just give out money like that.

I never pick up when it is a far-off area code!!!! Three calls from this number yesterday within 6 hours--no message--VERY irritating. I hate SCAMS!!!! And is very WRONG that they should even have my cell number--guess they just call every number that can be created though!!!!!!

They called my house today and said they were the IRS and that I owed thousands in back taxes. I actually reported them to the real IRS cause this [***] pisses me off. They pray on people and some are not bright enough not to fall for it. I hope they get caught. Scammers that's what they are!

Fake IRS scam call. Blocked the number. Don't fall for this crap.
