Scam. Recorded message claiming to be from the IRS about a lawsuit against me, threatening that I had to call a certain number right away, or else. Think of all the folks who might believe this predatory crap. These people should be put away in chains.

Since this was a number I didn't recognize, I ignored the call.  A few minutes later, I listed to the following voice-mail that was left by an automated voice:

My phone number is 206-866-5895. Do not disregard this message and do return the call. Now if you don't return the call and I don't hear from your attorney either then the only thing I can do is wish you good luck as the situation totally unfolds on you. Goodbye.

It's obviously a scam, so anyone who reads this, please don't be filed that there is any legal ramifications for not returning their call.

I received and vm and it sounds like the first part was cut off, the automatic call said it was important to contact them back, retain a lawyer and if i didnt call back wiish me good luck.  I knew it was spam. It came from Bainbridge Island, WA

As a heads up, this number is also linked to the "Windows Technical Department" scam, where they claim to be from Microsoft and try to get you to install a backdoor hijack onto your computer so they can break into it. Personally, I like to tell them we're an Apple-only household and watch them try to scramble for an explanation of why my "Windows computer" is sending "Microsoft" "reports" that need to be fixed, if I don't own a Windows computer. Didnt answer. Googled number to find out it was a scammer.  Never answer numbers I don't recognize, especially long distance numbers.

Looks like a spoofed number for all the major scammers. Fake IRS, fake Microsoft, fake grants, and of course free fake cruises!!

India intonation; "Can I speak to Mrs XYZ (part of our name)" / "About what?" / Computer Security ...
My reply, which is true "I have news for you. I do online support for Norton Security for Computers" / Silence / "Goodbye" from me .....

Always wanted to do that although some of my colleagues will lead them on a long wild goose chase .....

BTW -- why doesn't your Call Type include Computer security? It's a growing scam both on phone and online.

I got a call couldn't understand him because he was not of this country and he said he was fro the us government I could hardly hear him and his accent (middle easteren) did him no favors neither and he asked if I could understand him I said no and it was to noisy in the back ground he then told me I couldn't understand him because I was speaking broken English lmao what a [***] tard

I just called the number back 'cause they called me and it said "the survey you were called for has finished, if you would like us to remove your number from future calls, press 9" so I press 9 "you have been removed from our list" and then it hung up. SO. Here's hoping it won't call again. I'm already on the no-call list. Wtf.

Possibilities :

== The "business" is closed at this time, all the "employees" are out.

== The "survey" was to find the telephone numbers of people who call back, so the numbers can be called by other scammers. The assumption is that such people are gullible as well as curious.

I answered. After a pause I heard a click of that robo call connecting to a person. A foreign accent voice asked for me by name.  I asked what the call was regarding. The person said it was regarding a $9000 government grant that will never need to be paid back.  I said She will not be interested in that and I hung up.

This number says to return call when I do there is no answer2068665706

 Calls me multiple times a day this week.  Can't take them anymore.  I have reported them into he FBI...  This is like the fifteenth time I have reported them in.  Please report them into the FBI so they can put a stop to them.

when I called it answered as "SUPPORT". This is a scam from New Delhi, India. I was a victim of CYBER attack, but was thwarted before it embezzled 20K. They call me at least 5x's a day from different numbers

Called twice early this morning (around 9AM) but left no message.
