telescum - clue number one, we don't use "magistrates" in this country. laughable all the way to the ditch you button on my phone!!

He identified himself as Andrew Bearson (had an accent) said he is from the Legal Affairs Dept of the US Treasury.  I asked for his badge# has said it was 117096.  He had to think about his badge #.  Obviously a phony call.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

Just received same recorded call at 8:30 a.m. How ignorant do they think people are? Hope you scammers read these comments and realize you are wasting your time...

Received a call from a "David Frank" that said he is with the IRS legal department stating that my taxes were incorrectly filed for 2010 and that there is warrant out for my arrest. I stated that my taxes are handled by a CPA and that I've used her over 25 yrs and never an audit.  I said that the IRS would never call and never outsource their "agents". When I told this person that this was scam, they said that I can expect agents at my door in 45 mins, i said that i would welcome them into my home and even prepare a cup of coffee for them!  Then I asked them "Or should I prepare a cup of tea since the "agents" will be coming from India?"  The person then hung up!!  Scam!!!!!

Same deal...caller left msg about Treasury & Magistrate. Clearly an annoyance but easily blocked.

Got same call today. Wanted 6K for unpaid taxes in 2010. Indian accent. l live in Cleveland area and filed complaint with local police. Police stated there getting multiple calls on this. SCAM!

Same as all above .... here's a hint, Bozo...in this country we don't pronounce David 'Daveed'...nor do we call Judges 'Magistrates'...

In Ohio, I also received the same call. Definitely a scam. A shame an elderly person may be frightened and fall for it.

Said he was David Gray contacting me about an enforcement action by the Federal Treasury regarding my pension. Failure to respond would be a direct violation that would disallow me any appeals before a Federal Magistrate. He had an English or Australian accent. Oh Boy

First off you think they would speak better, and secondly the government does not contact you by phone.

Got the same call. My elderly mother said it was for me but David Gray did not ask for anyone in particular. Sounded scratchy and as if reading from a script. My mother always gets scared when these scammers call. They make her think I am in trouble when they are just fishing for anyone to give them money. I'm getting tired of it and I have started calling the attorney general in my state. (Nevada)
