keep calling and hanging up at least 7 times a day

Got a call from these losers today, they left no message.

If you try to call the number back you get a Telco Recording that says the number is a non working number. Boy that looks professional!

I've gotten these calls everyday. Always no one or no message. Just today (1/5/2012) 10 calls between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Who are these people and how do I make them stop?

This is a new number for me, but same ruse.
From what I see posted above, there's no action anyone can take. We all have our numbers on some kind of list that keeps getting circulated and chances are, they are bought and sold daily. I get these on my home phone, too and am on the DNC list.
It seems like they are all generated through computer call services (i know little of) since they're able to "grab" an unused number to claim as their own. And I'll be the majority of calls are coming from outside US.
I think our only recourse is to contact our local legislatures and ask that they start penning a bill - or something - that will get someone to look into this practice. And then stop it. It's like a plague.

I keep getting a call from 206-973-9999 and 702-541-9476
They leave no message and when I answer there is no one there.

I would like to have these calls stopped

Like some of the others posted. Numerous calls come from this number throughout the day. If I answer, usually there is no one on the other end. Once when I answered, I got a man who asked if I was Wendy. I hung up immediately.

206-973-9999 as of jan 9th 2012 has been calling me 3 times a day..when I answer nobody is there until I hang up...When I call number it says not in service

THis number has called me a few times recently. I havent anwswered and they have not left any messages.

I have gotten more than 30 calls from this # in the past 3 days....and they do not answer and you tell them to stop and they do not!  harassment....they need to be reported

206-973-9999 unwanted calls.

Just rec'd call from this number on my CELL PHONE and several more over the past few days. !! My number is on the Do Not Call Registry.  Tried to return call and it said it "The number you have dialed is not in service. Please .......!

These people are ridiculous!  They are calling non-stop...and won't take no for an answer!! I call the number back..and it says the subscriber that you have dialed is not in service! GRRRR

One ring and they hung up. Have not seen this # before on my caller ID. Read Seattle on the name.

Is there an answer  to stop this? Has anyone found something that works?
