This is a phone number used in an apparent scam on a car purchase.  The buyer is out of the country but wants to send a certified check for considerably more than the purchase price and have you send the excess to him.

Got an email with this phone number in it.  Can't believe people are still falling for this BS scam.

i got the following e-mail

I just finished having some discussion about your vehicle with my client before he made a business trip out of the country. He has finally accepted to go on with the transaction and hopes the engine is in good condition because; he can't wait to see the vehicle arrive at his home in the same condition as seen in the AD

However, My client made out a certified cashiers check of ($11,000) Before he traveled to London on a crucial business, the Amount on the check he deposited for the vehicle is for the total Expenses which includes the purchase of your vehicle, tax, the pick-up of the vehicle from its present location and the shipping charges /other Necessary Shipping arrangements. However he has instructed us to carry on with this transaction. So you're required to deduct the cost of your vehicle ($3,700) and send the balance of ($7,300) to my Pick-up agent as i will advise you upon the receipt of the check payment to enable him offset shipping charges /arrangements. Once the transaction is concluded and the check clears my fore man will be coming for the Pick-Up of the purchased vehicle from its present location, and Drive to a pre-paid shipper for shipment, and also conclude other Necessary shipping arrangements. You don't have to bother yourself concerning the vehicle pick up and shipping. while title papers and other necessary documents will be sent by you via any courier service to my Customer.

Please confirm the above explicit information and provide me with your Legal Name, Postal Address and Cell Phone Number for check payment to be delivered to you via the fastest courier service. Thanks for you understanding and hope to do business with you.

Got the same email! Put my truck in Autotrader to sell and got a text message requestting more pictures. Then came the emails about the "client" and all of the same info as above! What a loser. I wish something could be done about this guy!

I have recieved the same text message on my cell phone and he has been writing me back several times from this E-mail

8/13/08 - Just received a text from this guy today and decided to google the email that came up.  "nobody@server2.connecthost.net".  What a ridiculous email to use if you don't want people to think you are a scammer!!!  My suspicions are heightened because just last week it happened to me by another guy that goes with the email "ericwilson@yahoo.com".  This guy doesn't even mention any kind of over payment or client until the email that notifies you of a sent check so watch out for this one!  Very clever!

Yeah..  what a crock.  Glad I checked this "nobody@server" ... No WONDER they won't call me.
