This idiot identified himself as john, and faxed our business for overnight delivery of john deere filters. his spelling was less than poor, and this led me to belive this is a scam...duh! we are not even a jd parts dealer.

This has to be the same guy. We got a fax for 80 heads gskts on a jeep that belongs to someone else. He states his name as John Moore on the fax. His spelling is the same as the other's have stated. Scam...Yes!

we received a fax for 40 head gaskets supposedly to be paid by credit card.

same ruse...this "john moore" wanted 30 head gaskets and 400 spark plugs...had a counterman once fall for this at another dealer. ordered  40 fuel pumps for nigeria company..got credit card info...all checked out until 6 months later when card came back stolen...luckily we never shipped the parts..did get stuck with 40 fuel pumps!!!..let's just say that counterman no longer trusts anyone!! fax number on top of page is 985-984-2995...this is somebody's fax because we called it.

Received a fax written in very choppy English requesting 30 head gaskets and 400 spark plugs for a 2002 Jeep Liberty. "John Moore" wanted to provide c.c. info to us after getting the order together for him(which we never will) and he would arrange for UPS to pick up the order. Said his email address is JOHNMOORE20002000@yahoo.com and it also list an email address of johnmoore20084@gmail.com.

Same "Mr John Moore" has faxed us over the past few years, always trying to order John Deere parts.  Today it's oil and fuel filters.  Says his fax is 206-984-2995, but the ID print at the top of the page shows 386-597-1468, email address johnmoore20002000@yahoo.com.  We don't carry JD inventory, but I could see a parts desk employee falling for this if it happened to be a product line of ours.
