- Caper replies to tonyI just got the call on 5-17 at 10:35 AM - 44 foreign prefix, and 207-427-5764, left a lenghty message about my car's warranty running out and press various numbers for options on renewing, further info, etc.
- Patty Connealy# 44-207-427-5764, did not leave a message but what a strange looking number.
unknown name. - MattHere in New Hampshire. Same as most of the others, got an automated message about a warranty plan and to push one for a representative or to press 9 to be removed from the list. Same Caller ID as well 1442074275764. No idea who this is, google only came up with this site as a match and I am on the DNC as well.
- Caller: Unknown
- TamiReceived a call from this number. held and spoke to someone. when i asked for the name of the company they quickly hung up on me.
bull!!!- Caller: unknown
- PatReceived call as well. Caller ID = +442074275764
Two things that people need to know is that with VOIP phones you can call globally for cheap (right we already know that) and the DNC List is a USA thing, it does not control international telemarketers. So it seems as if a telemarketer has registered a VOIP phone in the UK and is now using it in the US, a nice little loop-hole to the DNC List.
I did not speak to anyone but by the sounds of it, this is definitely a scam where someone is trying to get credit card numbers!!! Why else would there be so many hang-ups by the caller...
BTW - Both my vehicles have long since surpassed their warranty periods so I don't have anything that may have just expired. - CurtI got a call at 9:15 EDT this AM May 18th. Recorded message said that my vehicle warrantee is about to expire, press 1 to speak to someone about extending my warrantee or 2 to get off their list. I wanted to determine who violated my "Do Not Call" option so I pressed 1. A woman's voice came on and said: "I understand that you want to extend your vehicle warrantee?"
I said, "yes, but first let me find out who I am talking to." She immediately hung up on me. I tried calling back and got a busy signal I checked my caller I.D. and found 207 427 5764.
I "googled" the number and this site popped up.- Caller: "Out of Area"
- Call type: Telemarketer
- TonyWell, pretty much the same story. Call says the warranty on my car is about to expire, which is odd considering I bought it used from my brother in law, and it's a '92. Decided to find out who was violating the 'do not call registry' and spoke to someone long enough to ask him the name of the company who was calling me, before he promptly hung up. My phone company couldn't identify the phone number except to say that the '+' sign at the start of the number usually indicated an overseas call.
- Ron West| 1 replyCall said my car warranty was expiring on my 2006 Nissan. I talked with a customer service representative. I asked for the name of the company and she said it is "Warranty Solutions" She said that they got my information and phone number from the manufacturer. When i asked why they were calling when my number is on the "do not call list" she hung up.
- Caller: Warranty Solutions
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Ron west replies to Ron WestLooked up 207-427-5764 on the reverse phone # look-up site and it shows comming from Baileyville, ME.
- RB, Laurens, SCGot two calls today....44-207-359-8017; 44-207-427-5764...on my fax line....first one got fax tones and they hung up....2nd one I answered and got the recorded message same as others about vehicle warranty. Didn't push any numbers and call finally disconnected. Perhaps the 44(UK) precedant is to throw us off....hmmmmmmm. What'll they think of next?

- TrishCall received from 44-207-427-5764 - I did not pick up, and no message was left. Country Code 44 is United Kingdom. In the past, I have had messages left on VM regarding my car warranty, but, since I just got a new car, it did not make sense to me. - Bogus who ever the caller is and their intent.
- Caller: Out of Area
- Summerville, SCReceived the call, did not answer. No message. Just like Trish above, we did just purchase a new car.
- Lyn5/18 4:33 PM Eastern - a pre-recorded message to my cell phone about my automobile warranty expiring and how it was my last chance to renew it yada, yada. Press 1 to speak to a person, etc. I just hung up. I knew it had to be a scam since nobody is going to call from overseas to telemarket to someone. I plan to file this form with the fcc regarding this call: http://www.fcc.gov/omd/pra/docs/3060-1088/3060-1088-07.doc

- DavidI just got a call on May 19, 2007 at 11:02 AM MDT in Montana. The recorded message was to extend the warrenty on my car because it was about to run out. An obvious scam as the number showed up as unknown on caller ID and the country code was 44. I hung up before the sales staff got on the line, but I'm sure they would have asked for a credit card.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- KellyRecorded message about a warranty, strange since my warranty isnt up for 3 more years. Didnt play their game, hung up on them first.
