i keep getting these calls,  they are from a car warranty company   they are annoying   i have asked to be removed 5 times already

Got the call, press the number 1 to talk to a representative, they told me that since I press 1 I was interested on buying warranty extended warranty, I told him no, that I just wanted to know who they were, and they hang up on me.

Call came in on 6/5/07 at 11:05am. My caller ID showed unknown name with a strange long # 442074275764. Did not answer fear may be some kind of scam.

they keep calling every week. I'm on the National Do Not Call Registry. Why do they still call?? When will a lawsuit be filed against them for harassment??

I DO NOT THINK THE DO-NOT-CALL REGISTER IS LEGAL BINDING FROM FOREIGN COUNTRIES.  I've been getting more and more 'sales' calls from other countries.  This number just called me also.

called around 230pm (cst) on 7 JUN 07....for some reason I answered but nobody was on the other end....like most others, im on DNC

this call came in and did not leave a message. I am on the DNC list.

A call from this number (with 44 prefix) occured at 9:26 AM (EST). Auto warranty extension...I pressed 9 to be "removed" from their list.

I am going along with the idea presented by a previous post from Pat (from May 18):
"Two things that people need to know is that with VOIP phones you can call globally for cheap (right we already know that) and the DNC List is a USA thing, it does not control international telemarketers.  So it seems as if a telemarketer has registered a VOIP phone in the UK and is now using it in the US, a nice little loop-hole to the DNC List."

Also, it's probably a credit card scam like some others have said...hopefully they don't call back anymore.

Received call from out of area 207 427 5764 at about 2:32 pm Friday, June 10.  Outgoing message was playing when I picked up but nobody answered.  I got a fast busy signal when I tried to return the call.  I was surprised (and delighted) to find this site.  Will something actually happen?  We have been on the do not call list since the first week it was available.

I have been on the receiving end of these phone calls, no message left, from 207-427-5764.
Now that I find information at this web site from others also trying to be scammed, this makes sense. Glad to know I am not alone.
Sometime ago, a very alarming looking message on a post card was delivered by mail. the message said that my car was out of warranty and I needed to call to re-new. It was marked URGENT!!
I threw out the post card because my car was not out of warranty and I knew my auto dealer or anyone connected with my car brand and warranty would put their name on mailers!

Caller wanted to give me a good deal on car insurance and supposedly knew that my insurance will expire.  When asked when my insurance will expire, the caller hung up

This 207-427-5764 had a "4" in front like this: 4-207-427-5764, and she stated that my warranty had expired on my vehicle and I was to contact them.  I just hung up! But I now know this is just a scam.  But what can  guy do?!!!!

I'm in Ohio.  Just received a call from this number a few minutes ago....and I don't think this is the first time.  The number looked somewhat familiar, especially the 44 part.  Not something you see everyday.  Of course, my caller ID said "unknown name" so I didn't pick it up.  I am on the DNC list so it is surprising when odd numbers call my home.  And they left no message either.

Got this phone call at 1457 ET and was not here, but it was on my caller i.d. There was no message left and the exact number was 011442074275764. I called it back and it rang for a few seconds then went to a busy signal.
