- Slim replies to #MAGA| 1 reply>> the Do Not Call List is a joke <<This is a

A Special Message for the factually challenged or low information people who are unable to understand the big words on the National or State Do Not Call sites, and incorrectly think:- The DNC list is a joke, or
- The DNC list does not work, or
- The DNC list has disappeared, or
- The DNC list is garbage, or
- The DNC list is useless, or
- The DNC list is worthless
(etc)
Try very hard to understand this:
The Do Not Call list works as intended!
LEGITIMATE telemarketers obey the Do Not Call regulations
So, if you got a call from a supposed telemarketer, and if you are registered on the National or State DNC lists, what does that tell you?
Hint:
Can you spell "scammer"?
Hint #2 (if you need it)
Can you spell "criminal"?
And, a tough one:
Can you spell "illegitimate"What else should you know?- The DNC List is NOT a call blocker! It is not a magic switch that intercepts calls to your phones!
- Criminals habitually and repeatedly disobey laws.
- Your education or comprehension is sadly deficient. Please try to remedy that!
More information about the Do Not Call Registry is at https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0108-na ... registry#basicsThe Solution!
If you want to reduce calls from spammers and scammers, or prevent second calls from the same numbers, get a real call blocker. Google (or your favorite search engine) is your friend!

Do posters with questions or complaints read previous answers or solutions, or do they merely want to make an ineffective complaint, and join the 99% Nonreturn Club?
Y'see, the solution to the problem was previously provided in this thread ... but it seems to have been ignored by posters such as yourself, who prefer complaining to solving the problem.
~~~~~~~~ - KSMTHis number calls every day 2-3x per day. It only recently started and they leave no message. I too am on the Do Not Call list but that certainly does not seem to matter.
- SuzanneI've been getting calls from this # for quite some time. As others have reported, they don't leave a VM, and it keeps showing up as Ellsworth, ME. However, I have a Free App on my cell phone called Mr. Number and I love it! You have the option of configuring the settings to your liking. For example, you can opt for Mr. Number to block ONLY calls NOT on your contact list, or, such as i have done, you can block ALL numbers that are suspicious (SCAM/FRAUDULENT) and numbers not on my contact list... The numbers either go to VM or hang up on them... When it goes to VM, when they ARE scammers, they just hang up, and I don't have to deal with them :) On your cell phone, go to Google and type in Mr. Number and download it... :)
- Donna Palmer| 1 replyWill not stop calling this is harassment.
- CWG40 replies to Donna PalmerYes, but you can protect yourself to a degree if you invest in a call blocker. Also, do not pick up on call numbers you do not recognize.
- rrpeteJust move on with your life folks! Block the number on your phone. You can't do a thing about it. It doesn't matter If your on the "Do not call list". "Taking further action" as one person mentioned. With whom are you going to do that with? It's a Roboi Caller! They'll get another number to call from. Fact of life, unfortunately.
- JanSeveral calls every day. On going for months. Never a message. I've blocked the number.
- Stan MeyersCalls frequently and doesn't leave a message.
- FrankAs above listed as out of Ellsworth, ME. added to my block list, Bye Felicia!
- Kevin Patrick replies to Ricki| 1 replySCAM....from many rumors I've heard that the scam is to get your voice saying ....hello and .....yes or something to that effect, and now thru electronics your voice saying yes can be used to scam You in potential electronic ripoffs.k🙊🙊 S
- B-Edwards replies to Kevin PatrickThose yes/no questions are more apt to be Robo calls and the questions are to see if you qualify to be scammed and cheated. They also test to see if the robo has reached a real person, not an answering machine. A question might be "You have won cruise, doesn't that sound great?" If you say Yes, you advance to the next question which might be about if you can travel in the next year, and then asks if you have a credit card. Then you get to talk to a live person who finished the sale and takes you money. But a No answer to any question will get you disconnected. You may even actually get put on their list of numbers not to call, but you can't count on that.
To test if you are talking to a robot, you can ask "Are you a robot?". That will get you either a disconnect or an answer like "no one has ever asked me that." For some reason, they do not want to admit that the call is done by a bot. Might be a legal thing, but being crooks, I am pretty sure legal or illegal is way down on their list. - FAAQ2these clowns keep calling - they won't stop
