Stop calling me, I don't want to take your stupid survey!

Got a missed call from this number on my cell. I tried calling it back and it rang and rang then cut off. No voicemail, no pickup.

I am really hoping this was a one-time deal.

call from 208-515-7472- didn't answer it.

Had a missed call on my cell from this number.  Tried to call back and got a message that the number was no longer in service.  My number is on the do not call list.  I hope this was a one time deal as I work shifts and this call just woke me up.

What I would like to know is how do they get the cell phone numbers?  Thought they were suppose to be private numbers!  My husband got a call on his TracFone this morning from them.  I think we need to sue the phone company for giving out our cell phone numbers!

Continually getting calls from this number.  Try to return call and it won't go through.

It/They actually outwaited my 8 ring message set-up to record a message.  Wanting to know if I will cast a vote or not in Pennsylvania's Primary election on Tuesday - 18 May 2010, and other questions requesting a keytone numerical response.  How Rude!

Cellphone numbers unfortunately aren't private numbers. If you are on the Do Not Call list you can file a complaint with them. If you aren't on the list I suggest that you sign up. please go to this website www.donotcall.gov there you can list all your cellphone and land line numbers- they will send you an email with a link to complete the request- this needs to be done within 72 hrs. There is also a link to file a complaint. Don't let this continue for another minute.

I do not accept calls from those whom I do not know or those who do not identify themselves!

Have received multiple calls from this number and even when I answer, the call won't stay connected.  I read on another site it belonged to Americans in Contact.  They show on their site they use a group called CCAdvertising.  That site has a Remove Me selection.  Don't know if it worked or if I will start getting more calls now, but I did it anyway.  http://www.ccadvertising.biz/dnd.html.

Showed up on my phone as "MID2010RSRCH". Called twice within 10 minutes on 5/18/2010. Being on the "DNC" list doesn't stop trash calls like this.

I get calls from this number so often that I bought phones what would allow me to block certain numbers.  Now when they call, I only hear one ring and they hear a busy signal.  But before I blocked them, they would leave a robo message saying that it was a survey call and they may call back later...which they always did.

For those of you saying that you are on the Do Not Call registry....so am I and it doesn't matter.  The DNC registry is only for telemarketing calls....in other words, calls where they are trying to sell you something or trying to make a profit in some other way.  This is copied directly from the FTC website:

"Because of limitations in the jurisdiction of the FTC and FCC, calls from or on behalf of political organizations, charities, and telephone surveyors would still be permitted, as would calls from companies with which you have an existing business relationship, or those to whom you’ve provided express agreement in writing to receive their calls. However, if you ask a company with which you have an existing business relationship to place your number on its own do-not-call list, it must honor your request.  You should keep a record of the date you make the request."

I was hoping to report this number for not providing a way to opt-out, but I can't find anything on the FTC website that says they are required to do so.  So, at this point, it looks like all we can do is either block the number through our phones or our phone service, or just ignore them and not answer, although I will try going the website someone else mentioned and try to opt-out that way.  In the meantime, maybe if enough people complain to our political representatives, eventually they will do something about these calls too, but I doubt it since most of the surveys are political.

It's a political call and they exempted themselves from "DoNotCall".
