ID said Delivery Receipt. It truly has ruined the phone industry that such repetitive things like these are totally ignored at the publics expense. Now I rarely answer my phone.

I received the same call as everyone else, I received a phone call from 1-208-758-0235 that states, "This is a service verification call, we will call you back later, thank you."

Verifast?  After the same recorded message everyone else was getting, I hung on and was actually connected to a call center person.  He said he was calling on behalf of the Star-Tribune - I guess their loophole around the DNC rules was that they took great care to mention it was "not a sales call" - they claimed they wanted to send a free Strib Express something or other to non-subscribers if only I'd provide them with my address.  I told them if they didn't already know my address I wasn't about to hand it out over the phone.  They thanked me for their time.  Hoping they don't call back now that they've finally spoken to me.  I expect that whatever the Strib is sending out, it'll end up in my mailbox whether I give them my address or not, or even if I talk to them or not.

Got 4 calls from this number, leaving VMs referring only to service verification.  WHAT???

I have been getting calls from this number for a week - no message left.  Caller ID indicates Delivery Notice.  I have gotten a rash of these type calls since Century Link took over our phone lines last fall from QWest.  Do they not honor the DNC list or what ?

I called StarTribune, who the caller said he represented.  Their customer service rep told me that phone number is in their system as belonging to 'Verifast'.  I did a couple of public records search for that name and came up with no company in ID.  The number probably is spoofed.
DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION -- YOU DON'T KNOW WHO IT IS THAT IS REALLY CALLING.  HANG-UP FAST!!!

"Delivery Notice" These A holes keep call me constantly, I beleive that they are trying to sell subscriptions to that piece of sh_t liberal rag the Star Tribune. I have told them to stop calling but they continue anyway. They are the same jerks that call with the caller I.D. Caliber Research, they call constantly several times a day for weeks until they change the called I.D. that they use and then they start again.

I have received 2 call today. It says Delivery Notice on the caller id. It an automated message very annoying.

Go to DoNotCall.gov, register your phone numbers.  Follow the instructions.  I signed up years ago and have to use it at least once a week.

Keep getting this call...have not answered and now i do not plan to. Thanks everyone...i will block the number.

Received two calls from this number. I called it back, and had my number removed from their call list. It takes 2 business days to remove.

They aren't violating the DNC list, if you haven't given them at least one chance to remove your number from their list. If they call you after that, then they are violating the DNC, and you can contact the DNC Registry, and report them. Even though you think you don't have to ask to be removed from these lists, you actually do, according to the DNC Registry.

They kept calling. The caller ID showed "Delivery Notice". I told them I am not interested, not to send me the ad papers, and to talk my name off the list. But they continued on calling everyday, sometimes twice in a day. I told them again that I am not interested, do not send the ad papers, and to take my name off the list. The caller become upset and insisted that I was the one who requested to be called. I told the caller that is not true. The caller became angrier and continue on insisting that I was the one who asked to be contacted. I finally told the caller I would report this call and the number

Thanks for this post - this number has called me 10 times now in the last few days.  (I don't pick up numbers I don't know and assume if it's serious, the caller will leave a message.)  For the last call they hung up before reaching my voice mail.

Voice recording regarding a delivery notice...then hung up.  No idea why they spend time calling if they don't try to make a sale of some kind.

says 'Delivery Notice." Caller quickly said, "I'm not selling anything," Whatever, I said she," called McDonald's # 2376." lol

They've called twice in two days.  They hang up when answering machine picks up.  When I call the number back, I get a fast busy signal - so clearly it is a bogus number showing up on the caller id.  I am SO sick of all these unwanted calls.  It's a form of harrassment and bullying, but we can't do anything about it since they hide behind phony #s.  So much for the do not call list.
