The "Tea-party" is just a bunch of wackos who were somehow speechless when Bush II was usurping our freedom of speech (http://www.commondreams.org/headlines05/0429- ... rotesters_x.htm).  It is NOT the majority of Americans!  It is made up of a couple of hundred ignorant people who don't understand that health insurance companies are raising their rates by as much as 39%, and that when the uninsured need medical treatment we ALL pay more!  Why didn't you protest when George W. Bush was spending $10 BILLION every MONTH for a war that had NOTHING to do with 9-11?

I received a phone call from them April 13, 2010 and was immediately disturbed that my number had been accessed. Not politically leaning either way, I just don't want people calling my cell phone with this garbage. It was also automated. I thought automated calls like this were illegal?

I rec'd on about 4:30 today I didn't waste any time and hung up.  I really resent the intrusion of privacy especially on my cell.  I only use it for necessary communication and nothing else.

Well, my call was very personal.  When asked if I am registered to vote I asked him if he knew my number was on the do-not-call list.  He literally yelled at me saying:  JUST F... ANSWER YES OR NO!!!

Just got this call and no message was left.  Called the number back and it was a fast busy signal. Who ever you are... STOP CALLING ME!

This was a recorded call from Michal Reagan. I recognized the voice from talk radio. He identified himself and said wanted to know if I was registered to vote. This was received on my cell phone and the last time I checked Michael Reagan was paying the bill

A reverse look up shows that the number originates from Coeur D alene, ID. Meanwhile, if anyone has a tip on narrowing it to a specific business, I would like to pursue a complaint about the company through other means, including sending the company's name to various national political blogs.

My guess is that you don't listen to either of the folks you listed...that you most likely take what others say about them as gospel and run with it.  Or, you may just take what they say our of context.  I've known too a lot of people who have changed their minds after spending some research time on their own...but I love you anyway...it's what we're told to do...

I don't care what your political leaning is...this is NOT the place to post it...simply state the phone number & the "group" from whom it came. There are sites where your opinion counts...post it there...

Of course I agree that one's political opinion is irrelevant here, but it should be noted that it is a self-identified "republican" group that is illegally robo-calling our private cellphones, which accounts for what might be construed as a political response.

I have personally opted-out of receiving calls from any political group, or any other group for that matter. I intend to find out what business or individual is illegally calling me and doing what I can to see that they are held accountable. Regardless of their political views, they are in the wrong.

I encourage you to do the same. I guarantee you that if citizens do not stand up to it, it will become standard practice.

This call came up on my cell phone as VOICE2010RSRCH and they asked me if I considered myself a liberal.  I considered hanging up, but I just said yes and they hung up.  I think it is some sort of effort for the 2010 elections.  Guess they don't want to get out MY vote.   Political surveys and political calls are I think exempt from the Do Not Call lists, which I am on.

H makes a good point. If push polls and robo calls can be disguised as "political surveys", there may be no legal recourse. However, it still might be helpful to find ways to publish the names of companies hired to do the work, along with the fact that it is invasive and offensive.
