Caller said he was calling from the Mega Millions. I said I don't think so & hung up. He called again and I told him to stop calling or I would report him. He said go ahead and report me to the FBI and hung up. He has not called back. The call was breaking up so it was hard to hear, but the caller had a very strong accent that sounded either Indian or Arabic

Got the same call. He said I would have to purchase a $300.00 gft card and give it to the delivery may at the time he delivers the check. and If I didnt want the money they would release it to the Govt.

Got a call from 208-779-7065 apparently calling from Rhode Island Lottery Company saying I won a large amount of money. I figured it was a scam so I questioned the caller. He said his name is Mr. James Moore from UPS and trying to make a delivery. He wanted to confirm I would be home and if i received a notice of delivery from UPS. But he has the wrong city. Then I asked him the company that sent the certified check. He said it is from Winners International and my name was randomly selected winning second prize. In order to release the certified check he said, I need to buy a "Green Dot" card either at CVS, Wallmart or Kroger for IRS purposes.  So after pressing him with a serious of questions he placed me on hold then transferred me to "HIS BOSS." The second person on the line is "Paul Goodman" with Rhode Island Lottery Company. So, again Paul rehased the same statement but this time saying I am first place winner from Rhode Island Lottery Company. He asked that I buy a "Money Pack Scratcher" which I need to take to the bank so they can report it to the IRS.  So I asked him why would I need to buy a scratcher. He said so my winnings is reported to the IRS. Right at that time, I heard a motorcyle in the background, then it sounded like a car passing by. So I knew the call is a scam. He continued asking if I wanted my winnings public or private. I said I dont care because everything is phony, scam. He chuckled then said, you will believe when we delivery.

So be warned. Area code 208 is Idaho and there is no such Rhode Island Lottery Company. To win the "Rhode Island Lottery" you must by a lottery ticket...

Someone claimimg that my father was entered in and won a mega millions lottery prize (550K) from paying his utility bills on time wanted him to buy a pre paid money pack card to pay for the lottery winnings tax and to call this other number back to speak to his representative and probably give the money pak card number to complete the scam... 876-395-7683 called first, then wanted him to call 208-779-7065
