Was outside in the yard, phone started to ring, got there on the 3rd ring to hear a Recording telling me we had an Alert System waiting for us to pick up, paid for, etc. If we already had one, disregard call. I could have fallen down and broke my leg hurrying to the phone to find out it was a telemarketer about a free Med Alert.

Why are you such a slave to your phone?  Unless you are expecting a really important call, there is no need to rush to answer.  That is what answering machines and voicemail are for.  Legitimate callers will leave you a message so you can call them back when you are free.  Very few phone calls are worth rushing to answer.  If you really need to answer while you are outside working invest in a cordless phone you can bring with you.  Many of them also come with the ability to block 30 - 150 numbers which can seriously cut down on annoying calls.

I am getting several of these from "John" telling me I have a medical alert to be delivered.  How do I get rid of them?

We have been receiving this call for about two weeks,daily if not more.  Have filed a complaint with the no call agency, to no avail.  Finally contacted the BBB and they suggest calling your local telephone provider, and have this number block.

Seriously?  You're giving advice on how and when to answer a phone call?  Keep you opinions to yourself.  You're coming off as a typical no-it-all.

Ummm...this is a public website.  He can post whatever opinion he wants.  I suspect there will be many that agree with him.  I got a good laugh at your misspeling:  "NO-it-all".
