called at 10:37 am and left no message.  called from my area code with the area code showing....so I assume it's a spoofed number.  will block since my policy is to block the number if no message is left and this number has called before.

Yup, just called me too. No message.

I don’t answer anymore unless I start receiving a legitimate message. (My answering machine does ask for a message to be left, but these stupid scammers never leave a live one.) I never call back because tells them when you are home. Block the number. Get yourself a Panasonic phone system that blocks 250 numbers. A system with 3 handsets is about $100. Check Amazon.com for one. A nice feature is when these losers do call back; there is no ring to irritate you.
