The IRS will never call you. The IRS will issue notice BY LAW THROUGH SNAIL MAIL ONLY of liens, audits, or assessments. The IRS will not SUE you in any court of law, they will assess an amount due and then if you continue to be delinquent will put a lien on your assets or levy your accounts directly. They have no need to go through a court, and there is a specific court set up where you can CHALLENGE the IRS but they will not initiate a case against you. It's simply false. Don't fall for this please.

I got the same call about 3 days ago.

Recorded digital voice: "From, I. R. S. Internal Revenue Services. The reason of this call is to inform you that IRS's filing lawsuit against you. To get more information about this case file, please call immediately on our department number (209) 542-2249. I repeat 209-542-2249. Thank you."

IRS SCAM CALL. I picked up the phone and a voice operated system said "This is the IRS, we are calling you to report that you are being sued by the IRS. Please call us back at 2095422249 for more details about this case.
