He said his name was Mark Wier?  and that he was with the US Treasury Dept.  He spoke with a heaby Indian accent.  I tried to call back and it said all operators were busy and to leave a message with a name and number to call back.  I hung up.  Is this a scam of some sort?

I got a call from this number also, also told it was the US Treasury and Unclaimed Dept. They wanted to give me a BMW and $2 million dollars since I had won a "lottery" and had failed to claim my "first prize". I was asked the color I wanted for the BMW, whether I wanted a coup or a convertable, was I a US citizen, and did I possess valid ID.

I am not holding my breath, as I am sure this is a scam, but if someone should show up with a charcoal BMW coup and a $2 milllion check I will say thank you very much, and tell the whole world. Meanwhile, however, if this guy calls back, he will NOT be getting my SS#, my bank account number, or anything else he can use to steal my identity and/or empty my bank accounts.

Crooks COUNT ON people getting so excited that they lose all common sense, and give out information they (should) know better than to share. Beware. Keep a cool head and keep your money.
