- kar0called with an automated IRS msg saying that they were going to sue me. pfft. The IRS knows where I work, i'm sure they'd just garnish the hell out of me.
- Kathryn Briggs| 1 replyThis is a autodialed recording on my recorder that said they are IRS, that they are filing a lawsuit against me and to return their call at this #. They wanted $2400 for tax mistakes made on my tax return over a 5 year period. When I called the # I was threatened with arrest and seizure of all my assets if I did not make a payment today. They had their spiel down pretty convincingly. After listening to this person threatening me with arrest etc. for a few minutes they had me in tears. I told them I was disabled and they said they would cancel the arrest warrant and the court filings. It was then I realized it was a scam.

- Mrs. McGuyerSecond FAKE IRS call. The man sounded like he was from India and was NASTY and said that the lawsuit had been filed and that if we didn't "settle up" we were going to jail. We told him to come and get us.
- KJit's a scam
- MazeI got the auto-dial call today myself. Figured it was a scam right off the bat. Pretty sure leaving a message on my answering machine is not how IRS informs you a lawsuit... PLUS, You get called for an audit BEFORE anything close to a lawsuit comes into play! LOL :P

- PabloGot the call today. Left the garbled "IRS" message. It is obviously a fraud. I am a lawyer. I will do what I can to report this to the Department of Consumer Affairs. The 209 is Stockton but it is probably a forward from somewhere else. The IRS does not leave phone messages about filling a lawsuit. You would receive multiple notices and the iRS doesn't really have to sue. They levy without filing suit and the tax payer would receive multiple notices.
- StephenI got the same call. I asked why they are working on Saturday and calling from 209 area code claiming they in Washington CD. I said I would pay the $2400 if they had my social security number. The supervisor was the same guy with the same accent but spoke in a deeper, slower voice. He does have my address, name and cell phone number. I tried finding out just how much information he had on me.
I asked him if he was proud to be a scammer preying on the poor and mentally deficient. I asked him if his mother wanted to abort him at birth. I told him if I find him, I will fry him. He hung up on me.- Caller: 209-975-7270 IRS

- MelFirst I started receiving calls from so called lawyers wanting to help with an IRS suit in the D.C. The man had a heavy India,Pakistan or Nigerian accent. Today I received the robo call from agent stating this is the finial attempt and if I did not call they would proceed with lawsuit. I new that each one of them where fake, if The IRS wanted to get me I would have received a registered letter or a agent would be at my door. One question since they call interstate why doesn't the Feds do something.
