Got the same scam from Evans Holmes (Heavy foreign accent)

Here are the phone numbers he gave me:  708-401-3451, 708-775-6512 - Fax

He wanted me to fax receipt - DO NOT FAX RECEIPT OR EMAIL, this is what they want.

Also called from this number 210-399-6752 for me to send him a fax receipt or the visa tranaction.

DON'T DO ANYTHING WITH THIS GUY HE IS A SCAMMER!!!

I did contact Chase Bank to verify transaction and report the scammer!!!

WHAT A LOSER!!!  KARMA'S A [***]!!!

They have changed numbers now using 331-222-9245.

Using stolen credit cards to order Tee Shirts, we reported them to the credit card companies and the customers that we could get in touch with. They even have the credit card holders name, address and cvv #. This needs to be stopped. I reported them to the scam department.

They also change address for delivery. One went to 21-27 W. 149th St., Whitestone, NY 11357.
They other one that we caught was going to 8245 S Dante Ave, Chicago IL 60619

I get at least one of these a month. This is the latest.

We got the following email which included the following # 708 401 3451. I called the number and a man answered but I didn't respond. Needless to say - it was obvious from reading the email that it was spam and a scam.

I got an email from Phillip Smith, and he placed the order over the phone.  I guess I didnt detect anything fishy, other than he had a thick accent.  I placed the order, so I guess what should I do now?
Please advise, first time dealing with something like this.

A person named George Henry claiming to be from G & H Co in San Francisco, CA using one of the phone numbers represented on this page (708-401-3451) tried to order via email over $8,000 in products from our company using a credit card.  A red flag went up immediately.  I told him that for new businesses ordering that large of an order, he would need to send a copy of his company business license or tax id and would need to pay via money order or cashier's check.  He claimed to have had problems with money orders or cashier's checks in the past and if I couldn't accept his credit card for payment, then he couldn't proceed with the order.  I looked up the address he gave me of 1187 Stockton Street, San Francisco, CA 94188 and it is in the heart of a Chinese district.  I have also looked up this phone number and have found NUMEROUS accounts where this person has tried to order large quantities of random items from various companies and wanted to pay with credit card over the past year or more.  This is a scam to attempt to fraudulently use someone's credit card.  STAY AWAY!  I contacted the police, but they said they can't do anything until a crime is actually committed.  An attempt doesn't qualify.  If you have been scammed by this person, please contact your local police department so that he and the ring that I'm sure he is part of can be brought to justice!  

What happened? My Credit Card company called me and asked me to stop shipment on shirts being delivered. I called the shipping company and told them to hold the order.

To all above- This is known as a 'Card not present scam'. The use of suspect credit cards. Many companies, on large internet orders, do what is called a 'charge back'. Paypal does it as well. They put 2 very small debit amounts on your credit card. You then have to tell them what the amounts are. Only the card holder would have access to that information and know the amounts.

Below is a copy and paste of an email received this morning.  Asked for him to call me direct to discuss.  Call came in from 858-222-0631 - heavy accent.  Couldn't understand him - he emailed again now asked for Banners in addition.  Gave me his address of 470 park ave, apt L31,East orange NJ. 07017.  Smelled a scam from the beginning - replied to him why not order from NY store - why in California plus I said cash in full up front.  The scammer scrammed and I haven't heard since.  Be aware - he was talking running credit cards.

Didn't run the card he gave us, but told him that the card got declined. Asked him if the name on the card was wrong and listed 6 names that were previously listed on this thread. He hung up shortly thereafter.
