- Dave78| 1 replyThis is what everyone in and around San Antonio CALLS Alamo Community College District. But ACCD's web portals seem to be limited to aces.edu (Alamo Community Education Services) and Alamo Colleges (acc.com). Confusingly, there is also an Austin Community College (ACC) and District (ACCD) in and around Austin, but in area code 512, and an Alamo Heights (city) ISD adjoining San Antonio in area code 210 and 830--as well as a gazillion Alamo City-prefix this-and-that listings in the local directory. Didn't pick up the call because "CC" rang memory bells for Alamo City b"collections compliance", as well.

- I am being harrassed by this site| 1 replyI do not wish to be identified.I want the name of the individual who telephoned my home. This number is an ACCD telephone number. Certain individuals who have undisciplined power have battered me, raped me, pushed me out on to the street and could not describe to a court why or what I had done wrong . I have been harassed ever since 2010. Who, from ACCD (which showed up in the window of our telephone) called our home number? I intend to contact the police, FBI, EEOC, and the Supreme Court of Texas.
- Caller: Alamo Communitiy College
- Call type: Prank
- Thank you. I did not answer call, nor cal replies to Tb| 1 replyThank you. Please know that I did not answer the call in question, I only viewed it in our telephone's window. My husband answered and the caller hung up on him. Please bear in mind: neither my husband or I attempted to call theh number at issue. We do not know if it is blocked or not, nor do we care. What we do want is for that number to be blocked from our land line, period. Are you able to manage this request?

- DavidInteresting thing is that ACCD stands for Alamo Community College District here in San Antonio. Was expecting a call from THEM, not from some solar paneling company
- Caller: Spoofed CID
- Call type: Telemarketer
- David replies to I am being harrassed by this siteThis is likely not from Alamo Community College District, but is more likely using VOIP software to spoof the CID I.D. Heck, I've gotten telemarketer calls on my cell, with the CID saying it was FROM my cell. Gotta love those.,
- David replies to Dave78Alamo Community College District is the official name of Alamo Colleges (they use ACCD for tax purposes, but I am sure the ACCD on the CID is just spoofed)
- David replies to Thank you. I did not answer call, nor calWhen you try and call the number, you get the standard "number is not in service" error recording from AT&T, so it is most likely a VOIP spoof.
- Austin BluesGot a call and didn't pick up, they left no message and now blocked on my cell phone.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- AnnoyedThanks to other posters for info. Called our land line, no message left. Blocked.
- Caller: CID="Unknown Name"
- DHM in AustinCaller ID showed ACCD. Caller said he was calling on behalf of a company, Clean Energy Initiative. I asked for the phone number and he said he was calling from a call center. I get these phone calls from this or other companies all the time.
- Caller: Clean Energy Initiative
- Call type: Telemarketer
- ArtCalled and did not leave a message. I called the number back and the voice mail stated that the number was no longer in service!!
- Call type: Telemarketer
- ATTISWORTHLESSCID = ACCD. Caller hung up when they got the message on the answering machine stating we do not do business with telemarketers. Probably a spoofed number. Solar panels in Texas are a scam anyway. Certain to be a scam if they are from someone who violates the do not call list.
- Caller: ACCD scammer
- Bill Lynn replies to dj| 8 repliesThe govt. "Do Not Call List" (2003) was a joke from the start. http://www.cbsnews.com/news/how-telemarketers ... -not-call-list/

Sorry it took you so long to read it!
Yet another poster who signed up for a govt freebie, but was unable to understand what it really does, or why it was instituted. The Do Not Call Registry works well. It is your understanding of it that is faulty.Educational Attempt Number
Fact: The National Do Not Call list is NOT a call blocker!
The DNC list is a LIST, subscribed to / purchased by legitimate telemarketers, so they know who not to call. The FCC or FTC do not give or sell the list to unqualified recipients!
Fact: Telephone numbers on the Registry don’t expire. You do NOT have to re-register annually.
Fact: Scammers and spammers ignore the DNC list.
Many use "war dialers" to quickly dial phone numbers. After all, phone numbers are just numbers, and are no secret! (Arabic numbers were invented about 500 AD, so even stupid scammers know about them by now).
Fact: The DNC list does not apply to NON-sales calls, such as political calls, charities, surveys, debt collectors and businesses with which you have done business with during the previous 18 months.
Fact: Spam callers can be blocked by getting a real call blocker.
Google (or your favorite search engine) is your friend.

I have been having fun with that type of call by speaking in German. works beautifully, especially with the boiler room calls from India.
- Caller: ACCD
- Joe GonalezHas called about 30 times but never comes to the phone the three or four times I answered.
- NanaI do not appreciate getting a call, getting no voice at the other end and after asking who it is for the third time, I got hung up on, this is just meaningless and annoying!
