why did you call me?

Why did this caller call me? Who is this?

She didn't.   Apparently you don't know how this works.  She is reporting the call just lime me.    You can bet since all three of us have no idea who called it is another scam call.

Just called, left no message... Mr. Number had notes that it's a spam/scam offering free gift cards after you give them your credit information for "a small processing fee". Blocked.

Just called my cell phone. Only family and friends have this number. No message left. I will NOT be answering them if they call again.

Same here - just called.  Didn't answer - no message.  

I receive a call minutes ago.  It stopped ringing prior to me being able to answer it. Decided to Google the number since it is one I don't recognize.  It is now on my blocked call feature.

Called a hung up.  Made it exactly to two rings.  About to be blocked.

Just got a call, they hung up before I could pick up.

Rang a few times and quit.  What did it do to my phone?  Make contact to steal my personal info and passwords and list of contacts?  Who was it and what do they want?!?!?

Just got a ring from this # as well...2 rings and they hung up.

One ring them hung up.... I didn't even get a chance to answer.

I received a call on my cell phone at 6:22 pm. My phone rang one time & I did not answer my phone. No voice message was left & they have not called back. I did not call them back, since I do not know anyone with this phone number. I figured it was either a telemarketer or a scam artist trying to get information from me.

Local number (same area code as me).  It only rang once & immediately hung up.  I wasn't going to answer anyhow, even if I had time enough to reach for my phone & see the caller id#.  I do not recognize the # or even the 622 exchange#.  

There are several reasons why a robo call or a scammer or a telemarketer would hung up after 1 or a few rings.  A caller might auto-dial several numbers in a sequence or purely random (it doesn't matter if you have an unlisted# or are on the "do not call list"; if you own/have a phone they can & will call you).   They talk to the first person who answers and all the other auto-dialed numbers are dropped & maybe  re-dialed hours or months later.  They also can tell which numbers are inactive, or when someone is home, or who has an answering machine or messaging service, etc. Any number they call use may be a fake number, so the person calling might not be from the San Antonio Texas area, but maybe New York City or Russia, etc.

Based on the above comments, I figured I'd find out for sure if this was spam by returning the call.  As suspected, it is a "robo call/scammer/telemarketer."  When I call, I was greeted with: Thank you for returning our call.  If we have called you in error, we apologize.  Please press one to be removed from our calling list.  Press two to be connected to a representative.

Don't waste you time, block this caller immediately.
