- DonThis just happened to me with a posting on craigs list.
ok no problem i will be paying you $25,000 with my PayPal account because its safe and very secure way to make payment. If my mode of payment is accepted just send me your paypal email address,(Paypal ID) so i can pay in right away. Make sure you get back to me so that i can make the payment. I have a private courier agent that will come for the pick up after payments has been made, so no shipping included. And if you don't have a paypal account, you can easily go to www.paypal.com and sign up. its very easy. Thanks for your swift response, I'm seriously interested in buying this for my Father-in-Law, your asking price is quite reasonable and affordable considering others I've seen lately, I'll take it. I would have loved to come check it out my self but am currently in camp as military sere instructor for new recruits. I won't be able to leave the base until 12th of May. I however squeezed out time to check this posting as all personal dealings are highly restricted here, i really want this as a surprise gift for my Father in law so i won't let him know anything about this until it get delivered to him and due to the fact that phone calls making are restricted......i will be paying you with my PayPal account because it's attached to my bank account and its safe and very secure way to make payment. If my mode of payment is accepted just send me your PayPal email address,(PayPal ID) so i can pay in right away. I have a private courier agent that will come for the pick up after payments has been made, so no shipping included. I'll need your name, the pickup address or location and please include your PayPal email address for the payment and send me some recent pictures if available And if you don't have a PayPal account, you can easily go to www.paypal.com and sign up. its very easy. - JessicaBummer, this guy tried to reach my brother in law today about his truck. Said he's in the Navy, deployed on a ship, yet he's able to text. Yeah, ok! Good thing he called me, I told him there's no stinkin way he's able to text on a Navy ship that's deployed! (my hubby is a Marine) He said he wants to buy it for his preacher. What a jerk and a liar. Using the military AND the church to try to gain trust.

He is using the same name peter paul, same email as stated before, peterpl136@gmail.com, the cell phone it came from was 317.758.7532

- KurtThis is still happening. Just had him contact me asking the exact same, do not reply to this guy. Thanks for the help glad I saw this.
- DerekGot the same message as everyone else here yesterday from this person so they are still at it. "Peter Paul" asked for pics of the vehicle I'm selling, which are already on my craigslist ad and my Paypal email address. All the red flags went up! Sent him an email using an email address that's not tied to my Paypal account with my terms of sale including him paying the transaction fees and supply me with a written statement of the courier's name, phone number, picture id, and authorization to act on behalf of the buyer. I also told him that I would have to wait 3-4 business days until Paypal confirms the funds are "available" in my account and asked if those terms were acceptable. The only response was that he would pay the Paypal transaction fees and requested my Paypal email address again. Never said whether he was agreeable to the terms, which throws up more red flags. Here's the issue as I see it (there are probably more). The person could deposit the funds in my Paypal account. He could even wait until Paypal confirms the funds are available to me in 3-4 business days. I could arrange to meet the courier and turn the car over to them. Then, once they have the car, the buyer could dispute the transaction with Paypal stating that the vehicle is not as described. Paypal offers no seller protection if you don't ship the purchase. Paypal would then freeze the funds for up to 20 days while they investigate. Who knows how their investigation would turn out? It might be favorable and it might not. If it's not, I've lost my vehicle. I'm considering getting the police involved to see if they would like to set up a sting operation to nail the courier when they come to pick up the vehicle but I'm thinking that it's just going to be some poor, unsuspecting person that agreed to pick up a car for this person (who they've never met) for a fee. I'll post back if I decide to contact the police.
