Caller ID read SCAM RISK.  Instead of my usual business greeting, I picked up the line without saying anything.  At the 12-second mark, the call ended.  From a different telephone line, I dialed the number back.  A young man with a slight accent answered.  It was one of those nuisance calls where the caller asks if you want to sell your property.  He tapped danced around my pointed questions so I admonished him and ended the interaction.
