Caller id says "VERIZON WIRELESS" but no message left.  We don't have Verizon, never have been a customer of Verizon Wireless....so this is suspicious.

Got a hard inquiry from Verizon on my credit report. I have verizon and have had them for many years. I have not authorized them to pull my credit my credit for any reason other than when I started service years ago. I call the number 212-395-1000 as that is the number on my credit report and it just rings. No answer no voicemail

This also Happend to to us. And when we called back it did give us a recording after 20 Rings to leave a message for Verizon corporate office.  I think they are maybe trying to get our phone information to get personal information like address and phone number of people they are trying to use for fraud. I do not trust this and do not know what I can do about it.

Mine wasn't a call but an email stating my address has been changed on Verizon. I called the number from my cell and the recorded message said "hello Carol please enter your account ID". I hung up checked my account, was an old address on there which was weird.

Get a call saying a number was registered under my name and sending Fraud. Ask what address they are located and got an none existent address. Had never used Verizon before (they also pronounced "Verizon" in a manner I have never heard before). Highly likely fraud.

I recieved call from this number. The guy told me that "my verizon number" is involved in some kind of illegally raising money. However, I don't have verizon number, the number I'm using and he called to belongs to att. The guy said "my verizon number" is linked to my att number, and is registered in Chica last month. However, I haven't been to China for two years, and I remembered that Verizon doesn't have services or even companies in China.

To comfirm that this number is fraud, I called verizon, and found that "my verizon number" belongs to business instead of personal and this number he used doesn't even belongs to verizon.

Then I'm 100% sure that this number is fraud

I would have been 100% sure it was a scam the moment they said "is involved in some kind of illegally raising money".  Law Enforcement doesn't just casually call you up of a suspected crime and ask about it.

A fake Verizon person from  NY number called claiming that my identity was used to illegally register a Verizon number. I hang up when they start asking personal info. They call from +1 (646) 371-6594 (fake number) and give me call back number 2123951000

I got a phone call from this number telling me that I own a phone number (which I don't) that is doing fraud and harassing other people. I immediately hang up and tell them wrong number. It says it's Verizon's number but I'm pretty sure it's fraud

You are correct since no one actually owns a phone number.  The phone company purchased it from the FCC/NANP and owns it.  They simply rent it out to people for as long as the bill is being paid every month.  If you are

I have the same issues as mentioned by others. Got calls from this number about a Verizon number registered to me committing fraud. The lady on the call then tried to get me to give my name. It’s highly suspect. I hung up and they tried to call me a few more times right after.

The scam guy called me and said I newly registered a cell phone with Verizon (a NY area code) which I never do it.  With lots of illegal reports and committing fraud with "my new phone" he asked me my address, personal info and send money to solve the issue. I thought he might some kind of employee, can speak chinese as a second language. I live in Reno, NV, never had NY number. Totally a scam, Fraud!

Well, maybe he can speak Chinese and English as a second language?  If what he said were actually true Verizon would have simply cut off the phone number.

Got a similar message like the others mentioned above. However, it went straight to voice mail as my voice mail screened them and dumped them there without even me hearing the ring. I too also do not have a VZW number. Though I suppose they think I do and it was really important for them to tell me that.
