Definitely a scam caller. Wanting to know how much credit card debt I owed. Also tried to convince me I was someone else.

Pretended to be from Chase Bank, saying that my data was compromised and someone was trying to open a credit card in my name.  Transferred me to someone else to collect my info to "protect my credit".  They knew my address and the last 4 of my social but I didn't confirm or give them any information and instead I hung up.

Said they were from Chase and that someone was trying to open a credit card in my name, that my social security number had been compromised and wanted to verify my birthdate. Kept saying don't hang up. He gave me a claim number and then transferred me to someone who answered Experian. I hung up and they called back 4 times from this number and finally called from 4808425280 a couple of times. Didn't answer. Definitely a scam.

Similar to the above said she was calling from Chase Bank (I looked up this number - it was showing as a legit does Chase Bank number in NYC) and someone in TX was attempting to open a credit card in my name but was located in TX I'm on the East Coast. She said ok they will report it as a Fraudulent attempt and gave me a confirmation number.

Then connected me to an Experian "rep" to see if it has affected any other items on my credit report.  Always quoting the "consumer protection act" ...  although they had too much of my info ... I realized it was a scam.   Called Amex credit report ... they are not showing any of the impacted accounts.  BEWARE!

    ugh i hate scammers
Received a call from "chase fraud services" letting me know there were suspicious zelle payments made through my account. They gave me a case id, charge cancellation #s, etc. Then forwarded me to the "Zelle" department. They spoofed a Chase bank location, which threw me.

Same as “ Received a call from "chase fraud services" letting me know there were suspicious zelle payments made through my account. They gave me a case id, charge cancellation #s, etc. Then forwarded me to the "Zelle" department. They spoofed a Chase bank location, which threw me “

Called me on 2/20/26. I immediately googled the number and saw it was legit Chase branch in NYC (clearly spoofed). Claimed they were calling from Chase with two fraudulent zelle payments which they had stopped before they went through. I asked which account, and he said Checking. I don't have a Chase checking acct. The guy had a thick foreign accent. I kept him on the phone to try to see what his angle was. He gave me a Case ID number, which hilariously started with the letters JPMC (he kindly explained this stands for JP Morgan Chase) LOL. He then gave me two cancellation numbers, one for each zelle transaction. He wanted to transfer the call to his manager, and I would have to provide these numbers to his manager. It made no sense at all. I hung up before the transfer, and he called right back. I didn't answer. At no point did he say my name or ask me my name or for any details. Weird! But a very obvious scam.

    scam
2/24/26 same experience as many outlined above. Said I had two fraudulent zelle charges. Because I fell for the Chase #, I went along with it at first, though there we signs in was weird. Then they transfer you and are basically trying to get you to make a zelle transaction to send them money by entering the case # they give you into the phone number box. They've got a whole operation, I asked to escalate it and then they put me on with someone else who was instructing me to do the same thing, so then I hung up. In retrospect very obviously a scam, but when you're googling and see chase and pick up, it takes a second (or did for me)

Same experience as above with 2 fraudulent zelle charges. I thought it was Chase when I googled the number so I picked up.  Don't fall for the scam.

Just received a scam call from 212-577-7020 today 2/26/2026. Claimed someone was trying to take out a car loan in Michigan, i live in NY. Gave me a case # then transferred me to a specialist Sean McGill who had a unique accent which was clearly not American. Knew home address and last 4 digits of SS#.  Sounded like a scam so i hung up and they have called me back from various numbers non-stop.
