- DavidDude just called my school talking about TKD. He is a wack job!
- Done With HimSame stuff that he has been pulling for a couple of years. Just received the call. He has used Mark and Chris as a name before.
Time to set up an auto dialer...
I think the FCC just passed a law allowing us to block these calls now too. Have fun buddy. - GHMA| 1 replyWow - after reading the comments, seems like we're into year 6 with this. Got a call last night - didn't answer, but I am at the point where I let the machine take it and Google the name before/if I respond.
- Caller: Mark Schachter
- GHMA replies to GHMAForgot to mention, I run a martial arts school, too. Anyway, There is a Mark S. Schachter with that same number at 30 West 63rd St Apt 10g, New York, NY 10023-7112.
- ScottGot a call about my TKD school last night, he had a bunch of questions, then called back tonight at almost 9:00, I figured I'd let it go and googled the number (since the area code was unusual). Couldn't believe what I found. Seemed special needs to me.

- BrentHe called my school in the Phoenix area today. Same M.O. as above. Wanted to talk about how out system uses Kung-Fu, and wanted to discuss the difference between Kung-Fu and Karate. We have 5 other schools in the Greater Phoenix metro area, and I have heard some of our other instructors mention getting calls from this individual. I googled his number out of curiosity and was surprised by what I found. The guy sounds like a creeper, but I think he is harmless. I actually feel sorry for him. The name on the call id was MARK SCHACHTER.

- BrentTo add to my above remarks. He just called me back at 9:20 at night Pacific Time (12:20 am NYC time). I confronted him about googling his number and about the prank calls. He apologized right away and said he wouldn`t call back. Then hung up. I still feel sorry for the guy. I was tactfully going to talk with him and discuss his problem with him.

- MikeGot several calls from this number. Asked several questions about when we were open, our address (I have a habit of only giving partial address over the phone), and if we were WTF. Guy seemed really flaky. Said he was inquiring for his "granddaughter." Asked his name and he said Chris but hung up immediately. Very Strange.
- TaekwondoSame games. Calls from NYC and wants to know about the martial arts school. Same number he has been calling from for several years. This call was pretty short. Setting up google voice to reroute him to a unique voicemail now....

- CourtWork at an academy in Ga. And have been getting calls from him for years. Same MO. It's really odd. Im gonna do some research and see what I can dig up about him. Cheers.

- DP| 1 replyLive in GA, own a TKD school. He called tonight & said his name was Chris Vallega, 28. Caller ID also said Mark Schachter but said he doesn't have a number or email to use when I asked him for it. Said he moved to our area because of his family, wife's family. He has done 5 years ITF with a Master Lopez and currently a 1st Degree in Williamsport, PA. I asked if I had spoken to him before, because it has been awhile and I thought I remembered a similar voice and call a few years ago. He said no. Said he is interested in becoming more proficient in martial arts and would like the physical fitness. He said I like to ask questions and I said I like to get to know my students. He said he has been out of training for about a month and he asked questions on what the sparring is like and made reference that it sounds the same to what he did when I briefly explained the Tournament Sparring overall concept, 2 mins or 5 points. I asked for his phone # and he said he doesn't have one, he is using his Sister's phone now and I asked for an email and he said he did not have one. I am going to call him back and let him know not to call here again.

- DP replies to DPI just called and left a message letting him know that he called me recently and told me his name was Chris Vallega (his voicemail greeting did say he was Mark). I let him know that I can see where he has called several martial arts schools around the country and that he is obviously not interested in actually training here. I let him know that he should never call here again. This was about 3:37pm on 12/16/16 that I made the call to him at the 212-581-0429 number.
- Andy KramerI own two ATA Taekwondo Studios in Southern California. This gentleman calls my studios approximately once every six months. He acts like he is interested in your program and then simply chats about Taekwondo and asks about sparring styles. The problem is, I always forget the number and answer when he calls...
- Gottfried RoserGot a call from this phone number and the guy on the other end was shielding his voice like he was trying to over modulated so it could not be recognized. He asked me a few questions about our martial art and what it meant and then abruptly hung up after he said thank you. Very strange phone call and maybe feel weird so I Googled his name and I'm also a detective here in Texas so I check them out. Just have to be careful people like this because you never know what they're really up to. Could be someone gathering information for a project or I could just be a creepy guy.

- Joe SmithThis guy has called me off and on for over 10 years. I received a call again the other day, but I have him in my contacts and just don't answer anymore. Not sure what possesses someone to keep up a charade for this long...?

- LuI've been getting calls from him for over 10 years now as well. Sometimes I answer and ask questions back and see how deep down the rabbit hole we can go. Today I finally looked him up to see what his deal was and found this page. I have to say I feel a whole lot less special now.
- DavidCalled and chatted up about TKD, wanted classes, noticed the number was NY so I asked if he recently moved he said yes, asked about rules and other things, then abruptly said ok thanks bye.
I googled the number and that went back to a 70 year old man in NY, the phone is a land line.
Best just to block this guy.- Caller: Individual
