This was yet another bogus medical alert system call. These frauds are not fooling anyone here.

These calls are SOOOO annoying. No one in this house would be a candidate for a medical alert system. How do these morons get their call lists?????  

The ONLY purpose in the medic alert for seniors scammer's calls to us, is to get our credit card numbers, so they can cheat us!

The calls are randomly dialed by computer. Word of caution block the number if you can. But whatever you do, don't return the call.

Received a call from this number (212-660-4324) today, didn't answer, machine picked it up, no message.

Just called me.  After reading the above, I'm blocking!

Granted these calls are annoying. But operations like this do not care about the law.

Just got a hangup call from this number. No message left on answering machine. This is the 4th robocall that I have received this morning(ugh), from other numbers. No message is ever left. Caller I.D.....I love you!

Same as other messages here.  I probably shouldn't have, but I answered, then pressed 1 to speak to a person.  When the poor woman came on, I let her have it.  Not very nice of me, and I think the person on the other end was genuinely shocked at the tone and words I used, but it felt good.  I wouldn't have done it were anyone else at home to hear, but this number will now be added to the block list that so many others are now on.

Just answered a call on my brother's land line from this number. It was an automated voice saying something like "your medical alert bracelet is ready" and to press 1. I wasn't sure what to do because it's possible my brother could have ordered one of these, but then shortly after that it said press 1 to accept and 9 to opt out - which made me think it was more like a random telemarketing call. I didn't press anything, just hung up and sent my brother a text about it. He confirmed that he hadn't ordered anything but had received several calls from different numbers about this and that maybe he put too much info into an online form somewhere (he isn't too familiar with how the internet works but has had to spend a lot more time online lately due to job hunting). I think we will have a chat about this when he gets back.

Called at 10:30am, even though the answering machine picked up, no message left.  Instead a recorded sales pitch intro began immediately. Some type of medical alert system. I did not ask to be called, i did not complete any survey about products or services I might be interested in.  This is the techie version of snail-mail mailing lists and there is probably a series of attempts to "get" a real live older person to buy the device and any affiliated services.

I was talking with a friend and wasn't about to click over for an unknown number and unknown name! Don't know why they want to sell me a medical alert, I already have one. Idiots!

Variation on calls I received last December 2013 for free Medical Alert alarm scams. Opens with an offer for a "free" medical alert alarm then offers free $1,000 in grocery coupons and a 75% prescription discount card.

Their recording is very poorly edited, you can tell the original recording was longer and they broke the recording in places leaving words that don't make sense.

Of course they ignore the Federal Do Not Call list, which certainly tells you something about their business ethics, doesn't it?

Here is a transcript of the call:

[male voice]"[unintelligible] Hello seniors, due to new health care regulations, you are now eligible to receive a personal medical alert system at no cost to you. Since you've already been referred to by a friend or family member [unintelligible] call to receive your personal medical alert system and by taking advantage today you'll also receive $1,000 in grocery saving coupons plus a 75% prescription discount card. Again, press 1 now to receive your personal medical alert system. Press 9 to opt out."

3/26 13:48 PDT These SOB's keep changing numbers but same scam all the time.  Qualify for free medical alert, have been recommended and can also receive $1,000 in grocery coupons.  HOW DUMB DO THEY THINK WE ARE.  WE MAY BE SENIOR, BUT WE'RE NOT SENILE!!.  

So fed up with this crap.

The call I'm reporting did come from (212) 660-4324 and not the number appearing on the first line of my post, above. I apologize for any confusion this may cause.

These jerks called a little after 7AM!  I was about to answer the phone and let these scumbags have it!  

These are not based in NY, they are spoofed numbers. They try to make it seem like a local call. They're based in central Florida. Source: spent three days working for them, then exposed anything about them I could on here. I've been checking back here since 2011.
